Last fall I strung my head Prestige S full bed with Red Code @ 49 lbs, as I had run out of synthetic gut and needed something to last for my whole high school state tournament. Turns out, I loved it, but after about a week, my arm didn't. I have since switched to hybrids with Black Code in the mains and was wondering if Black Code would be more arm friendly in a full bed than Red Code is. Also, how much tighter should I string it in a full bed?

    Thanks in advance.

Black Code will be more arm-friendly than Red Code... I suspect that what made your arm hurt was overplaying the Red Code after it went dead. After 10 hours of use (MAXIMUM!) you should restring the racquet when you're using poly.
If you hybrid any of them with synthetic gut the stringbed will feel more comfortable, and you should be able to play until it breaks without pain (unless you're sensitive). It will play like crap after a few hours anyway, but at least it won't be a major hazard for you wrist, elbow, shoulder...

Anyway, if you want an advice, if you aren't a stringbreaker just buy a cheap synthetic synthetic gut reel and save the extra for stringjobs... Consider buying a dropweight machine and string by yourself.

    What was your hybrid tension?
