You guys are clearly experts at strategic and mechanical issues of tennis. I try and answer questions too, but usually your posts are much more informative and concise. I just wanted to thank you and I truly hope you'll continue your great advice with the advent of the new format. I look forward to seeing your advice! Thanks guys.

It took me a while to figure out how to use this wonderful board. Credit must go to Mr. Don Hightower and his dedicated staff to keep this board alive.

I am involved with this Board for the last five years and yes, I agree with Bungalow Bill that we have also learned from you. We have contributed to this Board and it has contributed back with great topspin. I am proud to note that my tennis tips and that of Bungalow Bill, Pat Doughurty, and others have aided in your development. I think the rest of the world should learn from this Board as to how this Board has brought about harmony among players, coaches, and parents.

These kind words are the best "coaching fee" I have ever received!

Knowledge will increase if we share it!

I love you all, Mahboob Khan.

Bb was a total asszzzho. He and his crew beat up on many, causing many to leave completely. Good riddance to a major dick.

I've had more run in's with BB than most, in the time both he and I were posting.
Gotta say, he did it step by step, if that's how you learn. Gotta say, he's great for beginners and non athletic learner's too. Gotta say, he thought everyone learned exactly the same way, and that there was no such thing as natural's, intuitive learners, or those who didn't need a textbook to figure out basic where to serve strategy. And finally, gotta say, his philosophy in teaching tennis was ... " MY way, there is no other, and there can be no alternatives, because MY way is the only true path to nirvana"........

Agreed that BB could be very abrasive at times. A bit of temper on that one. And, as LeeD indicates, was not very open to other POVs. Had a few disagreements with him as well but, for the most part, he gave excellent advice. He seemed to have mellowed a lot around 2009/2010 but did not post much after Spring of 2010. He popped his head in a few time late in 2010, in 2011 and again in 2013 but did not stay around very long. He might have gotten married (which accounted for the mellowing) and may have started raising a family. Not certain about that.

Think it was the other way...Bungalow Bill got divorced...not sure what direction he went in after that...met him years ago at Indian Wells... had a few beers and found him to be very congenial and we did those articles. What I liked about him on this board was that if you could show him actual evidence he would evaluate it and often modify his views. But he was brutal on those whose opinions seemed to be well mainly just opinion.

Mahboob is still around (in Pakistan). He emailed me the other day. But like BB I think he gave this board everything he had and then just moved on.

Agreed, found him to be an arrogant bully who would gang up with his cronies on anyone who dared challenge him.

I never saw him once change his mind on anything, just major attacking, denigrating and real misery to anyone who dared disagree with him, other than jy, someone he looked at as a reason to be moderate, due to influence of the site: ie, and used his cronies, to help derail threads and provoke others, make them hurt. Only mean people do things like that. Good riddance.

Still, a lot of great input from BB when he wasn't being a total ( fill in the blank )

One poster who provided a lot of great info in this forum, and in H+F (and other forums) was @charliefederer. Posted quite a bit from 2009 to 2013. Saw one post from him in 2014 and then he just vanished. Alien abduction (to pick his brain)?

Hope he's enjoying his divorce, as I am sure his wife is! Mean people don't stay married for long, unless it's to masochists.

Well, when you use a gang of cronies, to hurt people, it makes you a mean pieceofshit. Bad judgement to give him or Bill Tilden any credit at all, or any space at all.
