Hey buddy, used to play with BobFL before he moved back...and with Goran...
I'd say a strong 4.0, can hang with the 4.5's...

Is that RobFL, the rightie, 6'1", thin and fit, using mostly Wilson rackets, a nationally ranked 4.5 who plays all around? With a good net game?

Thanks, the names were close, and RobFL is a nationally ranked 4.5 singles player, that's all.

Try ssgator80. He plays tennis once or twice a day year round.

You should bring your gear, you'll be sorry if you dont! Try the central florida section on the odd and ends page too. A lot of people do seem to leave town around here over the holidays, but then there are people here with time off etc. In general though Orlando has a different tennis scene compared to other places I have traveled and lived.

    Excellent!
Will bring my stuff and let you know.
We get to Daytona Sunday (before thanksgiving) afternoon, so, probably Monday, Tuesday and/or wednesday.
    We depart on Saturday.

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Dan,

You can also try Florida Tennis Center in west Daytona. Large clay court complex. You can get a match there. Also, Ormond Beach tennis center. Its on the beachside with 8? clay courts.

    Good luck.

You don't want to play Mikeler. He is nothing but a 5.0 pusher who likes to drop shot you to death.

You don't want to play ssgator80 either. He has a WTA game (but not the height of most girl players) and just tries to hit every ball as hard as he can.

That Daytona center is really nice. Call ahead and I bet you can get some matches without having to drive all the way down to Orlando.

playing either mikeler or ssgator will likely result in a pulled groin muscle.

Hahah, I am too old now to chase drop shots all day long :)
I am familiar with Ormond and will try there, as usual (my inlaws live about 500 yards from the Center). Don't like the hartru stuff, though...

The soft courts are much easier on the body though.
