Since everyone is "involved" in Basel/Valencia currently, one could easily forget about the Paris Masters which is coming up very soon. The draw is probably announced tomorrow (or Saturday). What's most interesting:

    - what are Federer's priorities at this point? Attempting to end the year at no 1 (playing 3 tournaments in 3 weeks) or is he going to tank Paris to preserve some energy for the WTF?
    - is Murray gonna play?
    - if both Murray and Federer withdrew, would Djokovic stroll his way through the championships without breaking sweat?

WTF this is a killer draw from Fed! 2nd round against Baggy/Simon, 3rd against Nishikori, QF Berdych, SF Murray and F Djoker! It's worse than his USO draw! Not even a single qualifier in his quarter....

That said Djoker does have Delpo, Isner, Raonic and Querrey waiting for him. Murray has the joke draw this time.

    Would Fed withdraw now?

Couldn't design a worse draw for Federer. At least not with players who have functioning knees.

Hopefully this means that Federer gets his cake group in WTF, or some might tank in Paris.

Murray will tank to Cilic in the QF.

All he will do is turn up to Paris, defend his 2011 QF points and head back to London with good few days to practice at the O2.

Additionally, has no one considered the fact that say the (likely) scenario Federer plays the final on Sunday in Paris. The defending champion always opens as the first match, so Fed could play Sunday Paris, Monday London?

They could always do an exception and let the No. 1 in Race a.k.a. Djokovic to play first. Or BRITAIN'S GREAT HOPE ANDY MURRAY. (*goes to sick in a paper bag)

Put the two serve volley players together again on the fast indoor surface nice one draw fixers, wouldnt want them causing any drama like they sometimes do. :(

Last year Berdych beats Murray in Paris, Murray was being in good form, 17 consecutive wins i think.

Yeah Berdych is a tough match for Murray. But I think Murray will be very keen to win the last masters of the year.

I doubt it. He wants to win in London. Playing the final in Paris will be detrimental for his chances.

You don't win matches by "being keen".

Nevertheless, Murray will probably tank before that point anyway.

Big Fed fan, but more votes for the Maestro than Djokovic/Murray combined seems a little optimistic ;)

I think Novak will win this event. He knows success here underlines his year end number one ranking, and will certainly want to pick up as much points as possible.

Roger will likely be out by quarters, so he can focus on WTF. Murray is the one I am not sure of.
