Anybody else get the messages from the ATP in the the last 24 hours?

Message 1 "Thomas Berdych has become the 6th player to qualify for London! Yay"

Message 2 "Erm, actually he hasn't - bit of a problem with our sums. Sorry about that"

Yes I noticed on Twitter lolz.

But Berdych is a virtual lock.

A LOT of things would need to happen for him to not make it.

There was an article on the homepage of the ATP website yesterday. I thought it was wrong but I didn't have the time to check.

Funny thing is, there was a quote from Berdych in the article, like they had told him. lol

He has been absolutely silent this season compared to what we expect of him. He better show he's worth the spot, if a guy like Tsonga or Fish doesn't make it.

Yeah, I, too, am going Berdych, WTF? over his near-qualification.

Yeah I thinking "WTF" too. Noticed he's below Fish and Tsonga. There was a quote from Berdych, too. Was that made up?

The biggest ask would be Del Potro/Simon/Tipsarevic/Almagro winning the tournament but Berdych losing early and Fish/Tsonga winning a single match is quite possible.

And that's NOT going to happen. Berdy is pretty much a lock. (sorry, just talking about those guys winning Paris, not the other part)

The few remaining spots is a lock. But I wouldn't be surprised if Fish or someone like that withdraws with his streaky injuries.

“It feels great to qualify for the second consecutive year,” said Berdych. “It was one of my goals at the beginning of 2011 and my results have been very consistent this season. I have great memories of The O2, the event was amazing last year and I hope I will do better this time.”

    Yes, he is a lock.
Either this is the charmingly, up-front, transparent part of the internet age or it is the ATP doing some savvy work on the twitterscape.

Either way, he'll probably qualify...and the ATP ends up looking like they have some qwerty-happy young interns on the job.

i only saw the first message and was wondering what happened to it...
by the way, their counts were a bit different from http://live-tennis.eu/race, but it seems they've also changed something on this other website, and both sites give similar points/rankings now...

and too bad berdych is an "almost-lock", i would have liked to replace him by delpo. ;)
