Here is how i would rank them

    1. Wimbledon
    2. French Open
    3. Australian Open
    4. US Open

I think the first two clearly top the list
but it's close between the last two

I picked the Australian because it starts the year well
where as i always look foward to the masters finals more than the US Open.

I would have to say the US Open. I just find it to be more entertaining and the atmosphere more relaxed than the others. Besides, the courts there are faster than Wimbledon these days.

    My rankings...

    1. US Open, baby!
    2. Australian Open
    3. Wimbledon
    4. French Open

Stuff always happens at the AO, The FO is ok but sort of boring, Wimbledon is awesome and the US Open is tennis heaven.

    1. French Open (by far)
    2. Wimbledon
    3. Australian Open
    4. U.S. Open

I actually like the atmosphere (often quite controversial) at Philippe Chatrier, and also how you don't get frustrating matches to watch (like Karlovic-Tsonga at Wimbledon a few days ago) since the surface at the French Open is clay. Admittedly I don't get why there seem to be so few hot food stalls there, gets really annoying to have to queue up for so long.

However I'm attending several sessions of the second week of the U.S. Open (including the men's final) this year so based on my impressions of the atmosphere etc it may well leapfrog the Australian Open.

I don't think it's the best but, if they can show some guts and keep the pace of their courts as medium-fast, I'll go with the US Open as my favourite.

I think people are voting Wimbledon because it's on. Just a thought.

You just say that because clay is _your_ best surface...

My vote goes for the Australian. Based on the tennis and the atmosphere. It's a bit difficult to decide though. If _I_ could win one grand slam it would have to be Wimbledon though. But tennis-wise it's the most boring one (in general).

The French Open normally can be really boring, but the last one was actually quite fun to watch.

I think the best tennis (in general) probably is being played at the Australian and the US Open.

    Depends on what criteria

It's difficult to rank GS tournaments, isn't it.
The good thing is they feel very different. I hate the crowd at the French (cocky & stupid booers), but the rallies are often spectacular. Wimby is a little uptight, but the crowd is behaved yet passionate; play is quick and crisp (I cannot help feeling sorry for the worn-out lawn towards the end). I love the night session atmosphere at the US, the squeaking sound of the shoes on the hard court, as well as the sound of the ball. Then, the Australian is perhaps the one with the weakest status (for a long time, players didn't bother make the trip; I don't think Borg played there very often), but the public of sport lovers is great, they really know how to appreciate athleticism; the scorching heat is nice to watch when it's freezing cold up in the north hemisphere. Conclusion: I look forward for each of them.

The reason for me not liking the Australian Open enough is that over here in New York at that time I'm freezing my ass off, while watching others play in 100 degree temperature.

    US Open for the win.

Haha, LOL...you know me too well:)...

No, I just say that because clay offers the best rallies...I hate clay as a player, but love it as a spectator... :)

USO because it's the last of the slams and it shows how much strength players still have after going through the AO, FO and Wimby.
