Yeah - go the to English site and use that translation so it makes better sense:

There’s no racquet with more Boris Becker “in it” than the BECKER 11 Special Edition. BORIS BECKER TENNIS offers the same racquet in a ‘limited edition series’ that the three-time Wimbledon winner also uses. This special model features the same professional specifications of Boris Becker right down to the exact gram and millimeter in balance. The German development department at BORIS BECKER TENNIS fine-tunes, adjusts and calibrates each and every racquet by hand in their tuning center in Straubing, Germany. There’s nothing comparable on the global tennis market, as every customer is guaranteed the exact racquet the former number one ranked player in the world is using. Admittedly, a BECKER 11 Special Edition isn’t easy to play – but it’s also not meant to be a racquet for everybody. Weighing in at 338g with an unstrung Balance of 32,5cm, this racquet targets a small group of connoisseurs who are looking for something extraordinary. Whoever is lucky enough to obtain one of these special racquets will have the ultimate tennis weapon in his or her hands.

If this is all true, I wonder why Boris Becker won't use the Becker 11 Special Edition and instead prefers the Voelkl Quantum 10 Tour with the paint job of the Voelkl BB10?

wonder if he is paying himself to use the pj or with-holding the money due to the conflict of using a racquet no longer in production?

The strange thing is, last year at a legends event the first days he used his BB11SE, the next day he switched to his BB10 (Q10 tour underneath) Since then i always saw him using the BB10 (Masters Madrid), the most recent was a month ago in Toronto VS Nestor, i guess he likes his older racket more...
I playtested the Spedical Edition, it's totally different from the normal BB11, it's a different lay up too and rock solid.

    Becker...

I didn't realize that Becker was back in shape and playing competitive tennis again at the senior level. This is good. I'd like to see him play.

I think Becker is probably the best to ever play the game. I know he only has 7 major titles, but for me that's not the whole story.

The ultimate Becker racquet is the ESTUSA Powerbeam Pro strung with natural gut.

After Sampras whooped him becker said humbly, "he has figured out a better way to play tennis than me". Hopefully pete's 88 won't suck as bad in comparrison with Boris' new racks.

I'm holding onto my stash of Puma's extra tight! the bb11 is crap!

Do you think Boris may endorse the KPS 88?

Why not re-issue the BB Winner using the old Puma mold? I wonder who owns the rights to that venerable classic. It was a great racquet and I think it would translate well.

So, is this the racquet Boris Becker is actually using? (This has a 93sq. in.)

Wait..I dont get it..My question was: Are the pics I just posted at #13 same racquet as the one under the paintjob of the racquet he is holding at #7?

The mold looks similar to me although I am no expert..

No it's not, that's the Tour 10 mid generation 1, he actually played the Quantum 10 tour which is 98sq:

Thanks! Though it is a little confusing to me. The pics that I posted also belong to a "Quantum" series racquet. Does it mean, he plays with the 98sq inch version of this? Or an entirely different one?

No, the one you talk about is the Tour 10 gen 1 which came in 93 and 98 sq (some had "quantum" on the side the later ones had "tour")

The one Boris play is the Quantum 10 Tour, different specs and came in 98(tour) and 100(light)sq.
Boris started with this racket when he joined Volkl, the racket came out in early 2001.

Thanks for the clarification, Ericsson! Btw- would you know when the racquet I mentioned -Tour 10 Gen 1- came out? Do you think if it is any good stick? By any chance would you be able to make a comparison of it w/ DNX10 mid?
    Thanks!

Yes, the tour 10 came out in 2002, first the mid followed by the mp.
The tour 10 is all about feel, it's so buttery, i'm not a big fan of the dnx line although the dnx mid is a good stick my choice would be the T10 for sure!
the original tour 10 is one of the best (of not the best) stick Volkl has made IMO, both the mid and mp.
I started out with the Q10tour in 2001, followed by the Tour 10 mid and then the mp and still play it...

Perhaps he just changed his mind. BB made him the signature model, to his exact specs, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the racquet but, for whatever reason (confidence, familiarity, insanity), he ultimately decided to go back to his old frame. Remember, this is the same guy who had Estusa copy his old racquet, right down to the cosmetics, but wouldn't switch because it was missing a bolt in the handle (which he never used).

Ultimately, not a big deal unless you need to make an issue out of it. Kind of odd given that 99% of the people on this part of the message board can't commit to any racquet for longer than a month (even if it was tailor-made to their specifications).

End of the day, at least it isn't as bad as Dunlop who can't convince any of their top tier sponsored players to use one of their commercially available frames. At least Becker is happy using a racquet Volkl/BB did make for the general public, even if it isn't the one he's supposed to be using.

Anybody else remember the user review where the guy said the racquet was too unwieldy until he took the lead tape off?

I still have a hand print from smacking myself in the head when I read that.
