When Kvitova's FH is on, she can beat damn near anybody.

    Serena looks bothered, disinterested, frustrated.

Please don't blow this Kvitova. You've played so well for 90% of the match.

4-1 Kvitova. We'll see if Serena really wants to play or just go home.

4-2 Kvitova. Serena's posture this match is disturbing.

I 100% would be arrested for assault if I was Kvitova's coach. Absolutely ridiculous how much she chokes.

Yeah, Serena is not where she should be, especially regarding serving... Petra is playing her best of match of the year so far. And now she chokes to give Serena a break back, Poor Petra. Really rooted for her(

Kvitova's done that twice this set. Serena did that once this set as well.

4-4. Serena was clutch with her serve. Kvitova's nerves will be tested.

Kvitova's serve is overrated and quite predictable on the AD side. She doesn't mix things up much.

I just want her to get her first serve in. She served so well when she won Wimbledon.

After a double fault to open the game, Kvitova holds with a shockingly good game.

30-0. Should be 15-15 but typical Kvitova misses an easy shot into the net.

That 2nd serve had nothing on it. Still 40-15 Serena.

    And she holds for 5-5.

What a mug performance from Kvitova, truly awful considering she was 4-1 up. This is why she'll never be No.1

That last sequence of shots from Serena to break Kvitova is why I think that she is a far better player than she was years ago. Her use of spin and angle instead of brute force when the circumstances called for it is brilliant. A lot of big hitters (I'm talking to you Sharapova!) would just pound the ball when they are off balance or off the court.

She's back to #1 and that is where she belongs.

Kudos to Kvitova. There are signs that her great ball striking is trying to make a comeback. Petra belongs in the top 4. If she builds from this match she will get there. I love Petra's game when it's on. She looked confident which is something that has been lacking.

I sometimes forget how fierce Serena's defense is, because she's rarely on defense anymore. But dayum, that game at 5-5 was amazing.

    (Mostly) valiant effort from Petra.

Well, at least Petra tried real hard. Her best match of year so far, hope she could build on it and have a decent season, better than a spotty 2012. Congrats to Serena and her fans for getting back to #1.

Aga breaks Woz to open the match. The puppet/puppeteer dynamic between those two seems to have totally flipped. Love it.

Rad and Wozniacki both play pretty boring tennis in my opinion but Agga sometimes spices things up and can play attractive tennis. Wozniacki... coff or should i say Pushiniacki never paints the lines and goes for winners. How she was No.1 years ago i do not know haha

Woz is punishing those weak second serves, but you can tell she has absolutely no self-confidence playing aggressively inside the service line.
