Yeah, Aga seems better able to switch gears to offense, even being weaker physically.

But I disagree with the person who said these two are boring. I love Woz vs. shotmaker matches. And I consider Aga (when she isn't playing Serena/Petra/Maria) a shotmaker.

Yep another Woz Aga special. Aga jumps out to take the set, but now is down 3-0 in the 2nd set.

Wozni serving for the set, which means precisely nothing. Didn't see this coming from Caroline though, good fight.

Woz switching it up between meltdown mode and winning mode. Can still push this to a tb, but fancy her to throw the breaker if she does.

On paper these are two one-sided matches. Raddy went 0-5 vs Aza last year. Pova hasn't beat Serena in 8 years.

True, but most likely it will be an Azarenka/Williams final which is the final most people probably want to see.

She derserves it, she has worked hard in the last year and Im thrilled for her.

Its just as insane she has won 59 of her last 62 matches. Kerber/Razzano/Sloane being her losses.

it's called greatness.....it's not her fault the young girls haven't stepped up consistently.....outside of serena, most of the players are 1 dimensional.

She's not better, of course, but she can contend with Serena, when playing her best. Something that, for instance, Maria is not able to do) Kvitova vs Serena would have been a really nice rivalry, but Petra has to find some of her 2011 form to make it happen ))

Found this little nugget, which add's some spice to the upcoming Serenapova matchup.

After Serena lost against Sloane, she posted this picture on Twitter:

Sharapova then posted this the next day:

Serena, then a few hours later posted this:

Should be a fun match later!

Why did the umpire let Aza dictate the pace of Aga's serving?

Radwanska is 5-23 vs Azarenka/Serena/Sharapova. She's the David Ferrer of the WTA in that regard.

correct if I am wrong, but other than adjustment of mental attitude (aka being more aggressive), Aga can beat Azarenka, she just doesn't believe in herself after few beatdowns

In this match today, Azarenks didn't play any special tennis, not like Li at AO, and with more motivation Aga could have beaten her

Serena breaks for 4-2. Another predictable match here....
Serena marching on 5-2. Sensing a beatdown here.

True, hence i dont buy the hype that she is the next big thing.

I see Azarenka and Sharapova winning all majors once Serena retires.

If lucky, Aga will be like Kuzzy , winning a major or two at most.

    Unfortunately, I couldnt agree more.

Radwasnska has such a lovely game too. If she only had more power and striking ability , with her variety and touch, ,she could dominate.

I disagree..Kuzzy had power and somewhat of a variety. She had decent touch and a more than decent net game. If her mentality wasnt so volatile and she made more of a committment to fitness, she very well could have more than 2 majors.

Rada would kill for the easy power in Kuzzy's game.

Radwanska is not the next big thing. You can't be the next big thing when you can't beat the players ranked above you consistently. The David Ferrer label is right on imo. She can beat players ranked below her all day long like Ferrer does, but against the players ranked above her, forget it. Plus after a while it becomes a huge mental thing when you keep losing to the same player over and over--i.e. Sharapova/Williams and Federer/Nadal scenarios.

I think you are wrong. Azarenka is a level above Radwanska no matter which way you slice it. She is a better tennis player. Add the mental component into it and it is very tough for her to beat Azarenka.
