    McEnroe vs Teacher 36-1
    Kriek vs Chang 3-31
    Wilander vs Denton 32-2
    Edberg vs Lewis 34-2

OK so basicly I am gonna have 8 threads each with multiple choice polls where you will vote for 4 of the 8 poll choices.

You are voting on who would win a match between player1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6 , and 7 and 8 in their prime or just upon who your favourite player in the match up is

After a week of voting the poll will be shut and the winners will prodceed and so on untill we have a winner in 6 weeks time!

Please do not vote for 2 players in the same match up as voting will be public and both your votes discarded!

    Match-ups (in draw format)

    McEnroe vs Teacher
    Kriek vs Chang
    Wilander vs Denton
    Edberg vs Lewis

edberg is against McEnroe, Chang, and Wilander, all record setters. The other one just has Lendl and Becker.

    /Super-pro Edberg's opponent's having a cakewalk draw rant

Yes, all these polls seems to be uneven and poorly seeded. Just look at the 00 ones

Yeah draws could have been fairer but there is a blank in my tennis knowledge for the 80s :-D might mix it up in the next round as this is your second valid point about my draw screw-ups.

However no matter what djokovic or kuerten will meet federer in the second round :-D

Third about draw screw-ups. You don't have Pancho, Segura, Budge, or Tilden. Vines and Perry. are MIA.

Well, smart people try to correct what they did wrong, when they make a mistake. On the other hand stupid and ignorant people keep doing what that did wrong again and again and refuse to correct themselves, despite clearly being proven wrong.

    heres how I decided

player name - years in end top 10 in the 00's (no number = one year)

    Hewitt, Lleyton 5
    Kuerten, Gustavo 2
    Agassi, Andre 5
    Ferrero, Juan Carlos 4
    Rafter, Patrick
    Henman, Tim 4
    Haas, Tommy
    Sampras, Pete 2
    Grosjean, Sebastien 2
    Kafelnikov, Yevgeny 2
    Safin, Marat 3
    Moya, Carlos 3
    Federer, Roger 9
    Novak, Jiri
    Costa, Albert
    Roddick, Andy 9
    Coria, Guillermo 3
    Schuettler, Rainer
    Nalbandian, David 6
    Philippoussis, Mark
    Gaudio, Gaston 2
    Nadal, Rafael 5
    Davydenko, Nikolay 5
    Ljubicic, Ivan 2
    Blake, James 2
    Ancic, Mario
    Gonzalez, Fernando 2
    Djokovic, Novak 4
    Ferrer, David 2
    Gasquet, Richard
    Murray, Andy 4
    Corretja, Alex
    Enqvist, Thomas
    Simon, Gilles
    Tsonga, Jo-Wilfried 2
    Del Potro, Juan Martin 2
    Soderling, Robin 2
    Verdasco, Fernando 2
    Berdych, Tomas

made a list of those who were in for 3+ years

    Agassi, Andre 5
    Federer, Roger 9
    Roddick, Andy 9
    Nalbandian, David 6
    Hewitt, Lleyton 5
    Murray, Andy 4
    Djokovic, Novak 4
    Ferrero, Juan Carlos 4
    Moya, Carlos 3
    Henman, Tim 3
    Safin, Marat 3
    Coria, Guillermo 3

then i added slam winners from the 00s
    Agassi, Andre 5
    Federer, Roger 9
    Roddick, Andy 9
    Nalbandian, David 6
    Hewitt, Lleyton 5
    Murray, Andy 4
    Djokovic, Novak 4
    Ferrero, Juan Carlos 4
    Moya, Carlos 3
    Henman, Tim 3
    Safin, Marat 3
    Coria, Guillermo 3
    Davydenko, Nikolay 5
    Kuerten, Gustavo 2
    Del Potro, Juan Martin 2
    Costa, Albert
    Gaudio, Gaston 2

I then removed those more suitable for the 90s brackets

    Federer, Roger 9
    Roddick, Andy 9
    Nalbandian, David 6
    Davydenko, Nikolay 5
    Hewitt, Lleyton 5
    Nadal, Rafael 5
    Murray, Andy 4
    Djokovic, Novak 4
    Ferrero, Juan Carlos 4
    Henman, Tim 3
    Safin, Marat 3
    Coria, Guillermo 3
    Kuerten, Gustavo 2
    Del Potro, Juan Martin 2
    Gaudio, Gaston 2
    Costa, Albert

So based upon this and slam victories I gave the seeds as
    1.federer
    2.nadal
    3.roddick
    4.hewitt

I accidently chucked the players underlined :S and intentionally removed those in bold :)

    Federer, Roger 9
    Roddick, Andy 9
    Nalbandian, David 6
    Davydenko, Nikolay 5
    Hewitt, Lleyton 5
    Nadal, Rafael 5
    Murray, Andy 4
    Djokovic, Novak 4
    Ferrero, Juan Carlos 4
    Henman, Tim 3
    Safin, Marat 3
    Coria, Guillermo 3
    Kuerten, Gustavo 2
    Del Potro, Juan Martin 2
    Gaudio, Gaston 2
    Costa, Albert

and somehow i put in Johansson and soderling  and interntionally added gonzo due to me being bias :D

Tilden once described him as such "He was dressed like Fred Astaire and hitting like Babe Ruth." He was so good he got bored and went to golf

plus, there's so many missing. Perry, Budge, Tilden, Pancho S and Pancho G, Lacoste, and many more worthy than Murray, Soderling for example
