I was reading through the Rome thread and all everyone was talking about was the "hair." So I googled Roger Federer haircut, and oooohhhh boy. It's on now. I'm dead serious. He was mightily embarrassed by getting packed in so early in Madrid. It's a little-known fact that men shave their heads or go really short to re-energize themselves, bear down, focus, "get nasty", etc. Every time my game gets a little ragged, I get out the clippers, go with the #2, and try to get my 4.0 game back to its 4.25 level. It works.

This is a major game-changer. I can see Fed taking Rome. Hell, I'm still rooting for Nadal and would love to see him beat Nole if it comes to that in the semis, but look out for Fed.

He got the "dad cut". My hair was longer too before I had kids. When your babies start pulling on your hair it all changes. Add to that the fact that you dont have time to play with your hair all the time and this is what happens.

It looks pretty good. Much better than the "Dork Cut" he has had in the past. He actually resembles a man now. Maybe if he would work out a little and pump up his little girly arms he could even start to resemble a male body.

Thank you, thread police. I will now go in my back room and flagellate myself for having done the dastardly deed of starting an extraneous thread.

It reminds me of the passage in Les mots when Sartre's father takes him to get his long baby locks cut off and by the look of his mother he realises for the first time in his life that he is ugly.

Fed's haircut is a timing issue. He chose to cut it at this time to ensure it will grow back to its classic, leonine length just in time for the Wimbledon final, when he will once again be front and centre of world sporting attention. His lustrous mane of manhood will shine ever prouder by the golden tints that will reflect off the trophy.

His hair was short for AO2009 too, right? That haircut and that Nadal-like shirt color don't seem like a winning combination, if we're entertaining the idea that this stuff matters.

The barber is selling it off for a thousand dollars per ten grams. It's now considered a holy relic.

By Wimbledon it will grow back...actually he's much hairier than me so it might even grow back by the FO...this kind of reminds when Alessandro Nesta cut off his long hair and went short....looked like a warrior. Fed to warriorize everyone in his path to the FO!!!!!!

    Nadal has better hair???

After his matches his hair looks like a drowned rats nest.

Fed after his matches looks like he is ready for a photo shoot.

Yes they are. The only reason they look to be that of at least middle school pre pueberty boy in that picture is because he has his right arm at complete flex against his torso.

He has sissy shoulders as well.

Hes built like a girl.....And an ugly one at that. Just a wierd looking fella. Smashed Face of a boxer and body of a woman. Great game though.

Spot on with the Quentin Tarantino comparison. lol!

Maybe the headband is the next thing to get chopped? I've seen him play charities in hats. But what if he didn't wear any head accessories while playing? Would it be that weird to see him?

At the risk of upsetting many of Fed's fans is his hairline receding? Or is it just the way he has it combed in these pictured?
