Thanks for the alert - I am all tuned in now.
Whoever wins this, better beat Raonic in the quarters ........
I wouldn't watch Stephens vs Jovanovski if it was the only match on. No way this is Better than tsonga gasquet
what time is fed match 3am or 5am?
bojana jovanovski's grunt will take some getting used to. Yikes.
4:30 am EST!.....
Almagro Vs. Ferrer on now. Almagro up a set!
Some good tennis at the moment.
Good tennis maybe, but it's boring as sin.
well, Ferrer is playing so it's relative. we have seen some good aggressive points from Almagro. Some lovely backhands. Little net play though, so far.
Now it's getting interesting.
I know nobody else cares but i wanted to share my excitement about sijsling and haase reaching the mens doubles semifinals. Great effort and i hope They can go even one further.
I was just imagining the turmoil that would occur on this site if we ended up with a Federer-Ferrer final. It would surely be a weekend to remember.
This is interesting. I'm watching the doubles semi right now. Bryan bros vs. Bolelli/Fognini.
Seeing it played at this level, makes one consider playing doubles.
I would love to see Ferrer cause an upset, vamos Da veed!!!!!
I would love to see it as well.....
It would be the worst final in slam history. The board would be dead because there would be nothing to say about it other than the outcome being a foregone conclusion.
Like Lance making the final doesn't make it a foregone conclusion?
It doesn't. Djokovic is the slight favorite but not the overwhelming favorite. Both Murray and Federer are capable of beating Djokovic. Whether they will or not in the final on Djokovic's best surface, remains to be seen.
Fed can in a best of 5 on that type of surface? When was the last time he did it?
When was the last time he won Wimbledon before he did it again in 2012 where he handily defeated both Djokovic and Murray? Djokovic is the slight favorite and Murray probably second favorite, but nothing is in stone and sh-t happens as we have seen from the Serena and Sharapova losses.
Exactly. Nothing to even discuss if that is the final, zzzzz. Nobody would even bother watching it, even most of the Federer fans would probably find it too boring to watch even with the guaranteed 18th slam, they would just watch the trophy presentation on youtube later, that is it. Not that it matters since the likelihood of Ferrer beating Djokovic on his favorite hard court are about on par with Ferrer beating his career master Federer in the final. Ferrers odds even against Murray on a non clay court would be about 10%, especialy considering on fire he went down pretty easily to a really subpar and then slamless Murray in the 2011 semi, and yet he is 10 times more likely to beat Murray than either of the other two.
You're comparing Fed's best slam to his worst. AO is not played on grass.
AO isn't his worst Slam.
Sorry. 2nd worst.
You make it sound so unflattering. How about I put it this way? Federer is the greatest AO player in history. 4 wins, 1 final, 10 (consecutive) semifinals.
I realize that but Federer has won the AO 4 times. No point in going back and forth here, I agree that Djokovic is considered the favorite but it is not impossible that Federer could beat Djokovic. Let's see if Federer can get by Murray first, that is the first big hurdle.
Lol Djokovic making an appearance at the legends doubles match right now as a trainer
Yeah, like, where the hell did this come from? I never knew they were any good at double. I thought that Rojer was the only good doubles player we have. I hope they can win it, but beating the Bryans is going to take a small miracle to happen.
Butthurt doesn't get much worse than that.
The Bryan Bros were pretty amazing, as were their opponents. Great to see unseeded players get to finals. Hopefully it will happen in singles at some point again.
Anyway, less than an hour from the Mens Singles Final. I have a feeling Murray will pull through.
OK, we saw...
Chardy is so inconsistent, too bad his tennis is terrific when ON (but way too rarely).
Chardy will lose a lot of points next month :-?
Clarky loves this thread.
Looking back at this thread, I had 64 posts of absolute nonsense. Here's another one.
Man, just rewatched DJokovic vs Wawrinka, that has to be the most epic match of 2013. Still feel sorry that Wawrinka lost
