Does anyone know if the first generation POG OS has different specs than later versions. I have the old one and love it. I remember trying a newer one and thinking it felt diff but wasn't sure?

Based on earlier posts on here, some people believe the newer ones have a stiffer feel.

The average stock weight was heavier, closer to 12.75 oz. on average. I don't know if that's strung weight or not, but either way, it's heavier. In my experience, feel-wise they're the same, to the extent one can omit the weight differential from that analysis.

I have both so I can tell you that the new one is a bit heavier and play a little more solid than the older version. But, I prefer the older version because of the flex and feel of it.

Most people in this forum think the older one is heavier but through my experience, it's quite opposite. I like them both though.

DO the grommets and bumperguard off the new ones fit on the grommetless old ones?

It should since it's basically off the same mold.

    the old single stripe POG

I do not think they are all have the same mold. Which one do you have? Made in USA? The grommetless? How many dot & what color above the "i" of the prince?
I do not know which one is heavier, because I never tried the newer/later one after 1983.

I have the 1977 (made in USA, grommetless, tear drop shape, single hand grip), and the 1983 (bumperguard, thicker beam, two handed grip, feel heavier & stiffer). The shape/mold, feel, and weight is different between these two.

The old one - "Prince Graphite 110" is balanced more closer to even and has a higher static weight. I myself am not a big fan of oversize frames, however for someone who plays exclusively from the baseline (even better on clay), it's a good stick to use.

Stormwolf, just FYI, the (Mid) after "Prestige Classic 600" is redundant. ;)

Just want to make it clear for people who don't use the metric system :).
