i hope you got another lvl 27 raise dead spell ready cause here i come!

i've gone back to the os frames. i need the forgiveness now that i'm playing less than twice a week and when i do get to hit i don't have a lot of time to find my strokes. i also like them better for hitting into the wind and playing in "heavy" conditions.

here's the part you've been waiting for, the sticks:

2 tw donnay pro one os reissues strung with psgd @58#
1 donnay academy pro string with leonia 66 mains & gosen ogsm 17 @75#
1 3rd gen donnay pro one os (not the yellow and blue one or the grey & orange one but the purple one that says "donnay pro one" all over it) strung will big banger @55#
1 head fxp radical os in reserve atm (unstrung)

i see your raise dead and raise you a flame strike!!!!

i have never hit with that frame specifically but some of those old sticks do have very high recommended tension ranges. my donnay academy pro tops out at 75# (and that's where it has to be for it not to go full-on rocket launcher on me!). i've never had shoulder, arm or elbow issues but i've repeatedly used my academy pro (strung at 75#) for 2-3 hours of solid hitting with no soreness.

if its one of those racquets that you feel you need to "reign in" a bit, i'd start with 16 ga. gosen ogsm @ 65#. ogsm is a syn gut but it's a bit stiff so it should take some of the boom out.

like i have said in a previous post, i've had good results blunting the pop of my academy pro with a hybrid of leonia 66 (mains) and ogsm (crosses).

i personally don't use much poly so i can't speak to that. hope this helped somewhat even though it isn't specific to your frame!

Playing with Head Liquidmetal Radical OS. I switched out the stock grip with a 28 ounce TW leather grip and a yonex super grap overgrip. Will add some weight via lead eventually and thinking about adding silicone in the handle.

"the grail" finally showed up, so add the following racquets to my rotation:

1 yellow/ blue donnay pro one (the grail) strung with babolat fine play (yeah it's been in there that long apparently) @ 60 #
1 prince original graphite oversize (reissue) strung with wilson sensation @ 58#

i've hit with both of these. the pro one not only seems like the heaviest out of the bunch of os sticks but feels like the heaviest stick i own! i hit with this one for over an hour and my shoulder hates me for it.

i wasn't sure how much i'd dig the pogos but during the second load through the ball machine i found my range and i was dropping the ball inches inside the lines with nothing more than a normal full stroke. i think i'm really going to like that one!
