mine was 20 minutes, but i think its cuz the guy screwed the installment of the strings
Around 15 minutes. I shanked the ball and broke the string at the grommet. Pretty lame way to break strings
I snapped a couple of strings while still in the stringer. The old Prince Pro, sometimes the metal got thru the gromments. When you pulled the string, BANG...
i did that on the second shot i hit. luckily i string myself so wasn't too pi$$ed.
I once broke a newly strung racket in the warmup of first tournament match.
I was really pissed off that day since i'd made it past a couple of rounds and was playing a seeded player with my last strung racket. I hated this racket and its strings..kevlar hybrid 65 lbs.
3 strings poped that day.
i broke in around 30 minutes
me too 30 min. max was 5 rackets in a day. cost a bomb to restring them all together.
i broke a string in 45 minutes.
10. I wanted to hit something so i decided to hit a rock
I had a set of Wilson Sensation 16 and broke them after 6 minutes during the warm up hitting serves with my Tour 90. Of course it was strung at 70 lbs.
about a week. i just dont pop strings..........
Believe it or not...I never broke a string since I play tennis...it might be due to my flat strokes...to the fact that they aren't strung too high (max I did was 61-57) or just a matter of luck...but I just never never broke them. I know it's weird...
haha, I broke some brand new Syn. gut strings in less than 5 min. strung at 63 on a PD+, broke it with a clean forehand.
I broke a string in less than two minutes. But, this was a shear break, so I don't think it should count
Other than that, at around the 45 minute mark I broke a string from trying to return a fast serve a little too hard.
Same here.. I think I have have nicked the string while stringing.. 5 min..hit one close to the frame and pop. It was at a shared hole. I was not happy!
5 or 6 hours with 17g multi. I'm not a huge string breaker.
One time i walked on the court, accidently dropped my racket and the ground hit the frame at 12" and the middle main popped.
I broke the strings after hitting 3 balls but that was because of a messed up string job before I got my stringer.
is this real?
I remember I strung one of my racquets with Prince Syn Gut at 62 lbs, and hit with it during a team practice session in March. It lasted about 15 minutes, and my coach got mad at me for snapping it so fast.
If you were outside for that practice in March.. and you live in CT.. the cold helped pop that one. I coach boys HS tennis in a northern city.. happens all the time here in March and April.
35mins for me, on a serve. I don't mind doing that now, as i've got a stringing machine, but when you pay £17 (about $28 I think) to get a racquet restrung, and it breaks fast, its bloody annoying.
1st pull on the machine. String was crap.
Popped a main in the middle of the racquet face when stringing Babolat. Don't recall which Bab it was. Most annoying, especially when I didn't have any more of it.
