The moments that give you a little to look forward to each day.

I know there was a similar one but I can't find it, probably because of the deletion of the Rants and Raves section.

    I'll start:

    1. The pop sound you get when you open a new can of tennis balls.

    2. The view of Toronto I got when I went to sleep and woke up during christmas.

    3. Nutella on toast :)

I am with SoBad. I like chatting up with a special friend-Sobad via Tennis Warehouse. Sobad is a calmest and smartest person I have discovered at Tennis Warehouse. It's my honor to get to know this friend and I am sure that my closed friends are happy to know him too:)

Hey, in another thread you have a wife. So what on earth are you doing with some male actor (*spits in disgust*).

Walking through the front door of the house after getting home from a crap day at work to have my two young daughters and our dog greet me, give me a hug and make me realize what is really important in life.

Nah, who am I kidding. They just get in the way of me running to the beer fridge to get a couple of cold beers in me and help me forget what stresses me. :)

I experienced a rather interesting simple pleasure yesterday.

I was playing some singles and wearing an all black pair of Prince T22's. After about 1.5hrs., some guy who worked at the facility said, "I hate to be a dick, but your shoes are marking up the court". I drag my foot when I serve pretty badly.

Then he proceeds to ask me what size of shoes I wear, go into an office, and pull out a new pair of Nike shoes. Told me to wear those and keep them.

The shoes are this model I think, but they are white with a blue stripe:

    http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Nike_Zoom_Breathe_2K10_BkGrey/descpageMSNIKE-NMZBBG.html

Free pair of shoes!!! Pretty sweet.

Almost forgot......the punchline to all of this is, these Nike's were leaving white marks on the court.

I should say that, the marks weren't really "marks". Not like when you wear cowboy boots on a basketball court. Thing is, I drag my foot so hard, that I grind away part of the actual rubber (if that makes sense). Put it this way, I normally use my 6-month durability guarantee within 2 months or less because my right toe is basically gone.

^^ I play at the courts the University team plays at. The guy was either on the team or one of the lower coaches (not the head or assistant coach because I know them). They have scads of "gear" around.

My guess is that nobody liked the shoes on the team so he sort of wanted to get rid of them.

That reminds me of a friend who we called 'Indian Mike' (Have no idea why, he wasn't Indian and his name wasn't Mike either), however he said one day 'sex is overrated and a healthy bowel movement is underrated'; at times I tend to agree...

An old friend of mine had this opinion (which was disturbing), but his finer point on it was that it would be a MORNING constitutional. Apparently those he particularly liked.
