    Agassi forehand was absolutely lethal.

lendl too had a sledgehammer for a forehand.

    what about courier?

Running cross court forehand of a certain player was ridiculous.

gonzo had a very explosive forehand indeed.

    was it consistent enough?

I am talking about a forehand so damned destructive that it changed the course of tennis history.

You're talking 'bout the forehand that abused a certain "GOAT" backhand? This forehand stopped a certain player with a beautiful game from claiming several slams to become the undisputed GOAT of tennis.

The most destructive forehand ever is Steffi Graf. For the last 20 years,i would think this should be whichever player has the most major. lethal forehand translates to majors directly.

People forget that Roger Federer had an absolutely deadly forehand between 2004-2007.

Federer's. As great as his overall game is that forehand was the kill shot.

I think Nadal is up there as well. Those two respectively are the two best forehand packages I've ever seen. Yeah you got guys like Gonzalez and Del Potro who can unleash freaking monsters, but for consistency, how you utilize it and construct points around it and what you do with it, Federer and Nadal are a level above.

Nadal is not that inferior, he is almost there with Fed.

Nadal's is consistent, while Federer's was dangerous and could end the point anytime during his peak.

gonzo, del potro, and Federer have explosive forehands.

    explosion is not everything.

you need machine like consistency to go along with those explosive properties.

Federer and Nadal are extremely impressive, but Gonzo is close. That thing was a beast from him. If only the other aspects of his game were even close to the forehand... He would have been contending for slams.

he pretty much destroyed the whole planet with his forehand and single handedly changed the course of tennis history.

don't forget that nadal has a winning record against 100% of the top 30 players.

both nole and murray have said that nadal`s forehand is the most destructive stroke under the sun.

    now that is high praise.

I always liked Lendl's forehand. Becker could unleash a forehand as well. Federer and Nadal are up there for sure.

This! Still miss pim pim. The thought of a Johansson v Del Potro match is too much for me to handle.

Of course Gonzo is right up there as well.

Fed's is definitely among the best IMO but his serve/forehand is what really helped him. While Nadal didn't have the Serve/FH combo through a lot of his career with the big serve to set up a FH put away

    great point.

and he did not have that killer net game either so he had to be more effective from the baseline.

roger---in his prime--held serve nearly 90% of the time. his serve was absolutely massive.

weak returns helped him line up his forehand to some extent.

Can't the same be said for Nadal's lefty/FH combo. It wouldn't be as effective if his forehand was up against his opponent's FH instead of their BH.

Gonzo had a chance to win the 2007 Australian Open. Federer won in 3 tight sets that could have gone the other way.

    I am salivating.

He could hit it bigger than Gonzalez and was very consistent with it. Had he not been injured constantly he would be slightly scary.

Since the title calls for "most destructive", I'm gonna go with Federer, Gonzales and Del Potro in the last decade.
