I was stringing last night and then I was about to wrap it up. Then I realized that the little compartment won't close. Any suggestions?

Anything inside causing it to not close?

Try taking everything out and closing it

Nope, nothing in there. I tried shaking it and there wasn't any noise.

Well have you looked underneath along the rails to see if anything is blocking it?

I would assume there is something that fell over the inside edge of the drawer. i would remove the LEFT end and see if you can see anything. you could remove the right end and the drawer, just keep track of the parts that come out with the drawer.

Thanks for the help. But, how would I remove it?

Huh, I've been using this thing for 2 years and never knew there was a compartment. I've got to go upstairs now and take a look.

Lol... Yeah a nice big storage compartment that runs almost the entire length of the machine.

Reach under it and squeeze the clasp; you will then be able to open and close it!

I think the storage compartment is a really nice touch on Gamma's part, as is the cutting surface. You've got to respect a company that sweats little details even on all of their machines.

I'll be damned, sure is! That's a far more convenient place to store tools than loosely on the table.

Bingo - there's a latch underneath. Try that. If that doesn't work, it must be something inside the channels that's blocking the drawer.

I have been really busy these past few days. So I finally returned to thread to see what all of you have come up with. Here is what I found out this morning!

    This part...

    Which goes onto here...

    Is stuck in the back!

I have no idea how the other one came off! Gammatech, any suggestions?

honestly, no. the easiest way to replace the drawer is to remove the whole plastic end on the side. there are 4 philips head screws that hold it on. then replace the drawer with the side. then re-install the end.
