I don't know if the draw is out but I like Haas to go all the way. He is playing great tennis and has already won 2 titles this year.

I might take Hewitt over Haas. I'm sure he's working a little harder since that loss to Murray.

Haas-Hewitt would be a great match to watch. I think it'd also give us a great idea of how Haas will do the rest of the year.

Good - he needs a break to get his head together.

    Haas has a tough draw-Tursonov 1st round(they went 3 sets last week)
Probably Malisse in the 2nd (they went to a 3rd set tiebreak in Delray Beach)

Winning titles in consecutive weeks is pretty draining.
I think Kiefer or Hewitt will take it.

Tommy Haas must have withdrawn from the Tennis Channel Open. Peter Luczak is scheduled to play as a Lucky Loser and Tommy Haas is not shown in the singles draw. I am hoping that he is just tired and has not incured an injury. Does anyone know? Here's a link to the draw http://www.tennischannelopen.com/main_draw_singles_q.pdf

Oh no! Right after winning a tournament, he seems to have incurred a sudden shoulder injury that will keep him out of action for exactly as long as he feels like!

    I hope he recovers soon...

...despite the sarcastic tone, I'm not really holding it against him, he just won a tournament and deserves a break.

That was his first singles win of the year?

    Interesting.

Well, congrats to him! Hopefully he goes on to have a couple more.

    hewitt wins

hewitt escaped again...5-7 6-2 6-4 over florian mayer in the 1st rd of the tennis channel open

maybe the theory of level of play after marriage is starting to show or maybe marriage humbled hewitt's cmon's and excitement and intensity, which really also keeps him into it...or maybe he's still got the bum ankle or leftovers of a stomach virus....

he's just playing so poorly right now
i think he needs to go back to playing the way he used too in 2001-2002

Sam Querrey lost to Brian Vahaly 3-6,7-6,6-3. Tough luck for the youngster. I wonder if he would have had an easier match against Bob Bryan? I also wonder why Bob Bryan didn't play? Maybe sore shoulder, as that was why he and mike forefitted doubles match last week against Blake/Fish.

3-6, 7-6 is very close to winning. Wonder how many chances he had in the second.

    Sets won on ATP tour:

    Donald Young = 0
    Sam Querrey = 2

Just got back from it. Schrichipan lost in 2. He put up a good fight in the first set but lost it in the second. Murray got raped 6-2,6-2. If robredo continues to play the way he did against murray, he will take it. Murray was totally off. Blake and Schrichipan looked too inconsistent but both are somewhat power players when compared to robredo and murray. Ginepri had a horrible 3rd set. It was off a rain delay so he must have had time to experience vegas;)

Does Ginepri have an arm problem?, or is that sleeve he is wearing a Babolat fashion statement.

Ginepri is such the fashion victim. That was an arm sleeve he was wearing. No injury to report...it just keeps your arm warm.

It was pretty freakin cold considering vegas standards. I thought it was an injury problem at first but like the above poster said, he is sponsered by under armor and they are going to market him like a poster child.

Good win for Hewitt. Seems to be coming back to his best form. Would be nice to see a Blake vs Hewitt final. Matches between these two guys is never short of drama and entertainment.

Blake still has to beat Carlsen for that to happen.

"Moose Malloy"...you don't think Blake will take out Carlsen? He has a 2-1 record against him. Blake is -450, Carlsen +300...come on.

No he'll win(though he lost 1st round last 2 weeks, so you never know)
Was just correcting the poster who implied that he already won.

Do you know the odds on Nadal-Federer? They don't have any posted on sportsbetting.

    Blake def. Karlovic 7/6 1/6

The unaccostomed big stage seemed too much for Karlovic. His serve didn't carr y him...very few aces, but his groundies are progressing.
