Pogba is more disciplined than Fabregas in the deeper role, he's is fantastic on the ball, but without it he's totally lost. Someone like Pogba would release Fabregas forward, allow us to play 4-3-3 at times. Options are always good.

As for Oscar, he's great for 3 months. Come the Christmas period and beyond, he looks exhausted. Hopefully Cuadrado goes before him because l do like Oscar, the way he just falls off is worrying though.

First 15 minutes or so we looked up for it, then we went back passing the ball backwards, nobody making runs, etc. An uninspiring performance, for sure.

Suppose it's hard to know how good Barcelona players are, when they have 75% possession every game and players like Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Messi, Neymar, Suarez and all the other geniuses they've had over the last decade.. Barcelona play a different game to the rest of the world it seems.

Pedro certainly looked great yesterday though, pace, incredible close control, wins the ball back quickly etc..

I was disappointed that United didn't get Pedro, then you wonder how interested they were in the first place. Good debut for Chelsea.

In other news, United ready to make Neymar the global face of the brand in the January transfer window. A pretty face it is. I smell more BS. There is only so much I can take. The Gareth Bale rumor is still lurking, we're ready to swoop if the fans boo him at home on Saturday. I'd love to see him score a hat trick on Saturday. For the lolz.

    Fellani could be the solution.

Who needs Neymar when you got Fellaini? This could be incredibly funny if it works.

Levski, Manchester United, Juventus, Heracles Almelo. In that order.

That's a new way to profess eternal hatred.

Torino vs Fiorentina this weekend, and Newcastle vs Arsenal, really want the 3 points in both hopefully Perez and Thauvin start out wide

Rooting for the Geordies, no doubt about it. Arsenal are there for the taking too.

City have just sealed the deal for De Bruyne. £58m. This is just silly.

City going from strength to Strength. Yeah, insane prices today.

Rooney having one of his good games tonight. A hat trick.

A couple of surprising results today. Chelsea defeated 2-1 at home by Crystal Palace. Alan Pardew magic continues. Getting a winner after Chelsea equalized, that was very impressive. Liverpool also defeated 3-0 at home by West Ham. Funny, I was thinking West Ham -2 before the match. Nah, I wasn't really. Anyway, too early to get carried away yet, but going back to the earlier conversation. I still think Chelsea will be title contenders, but already 8 points behind Man City. You can't really afford to go so far behind in this league.

The result doesn't surprise me. Palace are a really decent team, and Chelsea aren't playing well. There were signs after Christmas last year that there were areas that needed to be fixed this summer.. and they haven't. Couple that with the rest of the league getting stronger, a few key players a bit below their best and yeah.. this will continue. My prediction was 4th or 5th this season and we'll probably still manage it, but title challengers? Not sure what the media were looking at when saying that.

I have to say I am surprised by Chelsea this season. I don't know if it's complacency we're seeing or a failed ploy by Mou.

    Nothing surprising about Liverpool's result.

I'm just getting ready for Bale and Neymar to come in tomorrow. Welcome to Manchester.

    Thoughts on the MLS?

I am kind of liking Toronto's football. Manchester United-like propensity to lose the ball in precarious situations but otherwise quite exciting when going forward.

I don't watch any MLS. I only tuned in once or twice to see Beckham play for LA Galaxy.

Gareth Bale had a good night for Real Madrid. He didn't get the hat trick, but he did score 2. Rodriguez scored a nice overhead kick.
