Gonzalo Higuain is reportedly having a medical at Juventus.

Apart from the transfer fee of course, this is similar to the Lewandowski move from BVB to Bayern. League champion is taking the best player of the league runner-up who also finished the season as the best goalscorer.

Considering how much Napoli demanded for Higuain, this probably means that the Pogba transfer to Manchester United will happen soon.

At least Allegri confirmed there are negotiations.

Yikes  looks like they ran out of material half way through and sent the work experience kid to pick up some more.. Evidently he bought back a different colour  also appears he ran over the middle of it with his moped on his return.. That tire mark down the middle? Bizarre.

I really liked last years kit, the whole '90 throwback was nicely done. This years though? Suppose at least they're getting huge sums of money from Adidas.

I wonder what were your thoughts on our 2012-13 kit... You know, the famous tablecloth. :D

That was a bad one! Haha. They've had some really nice ones over the years though. Last years was great, so was the early 90's one it was modelled on. I liked the 99 treble winning one with the zip, same for the one they wore when they stopped Chelsea winning 3 in a row (had a little bit of gold, I do believe!).

You can see why the trend towards retro replicas from the '90s and earlier is growing, modern kits aren't as good as they used to be.

I've been trying to get a mid 90's Chelsea shirt (think Di Matteo in the '97 FA Cup final), but they're going for £100+! I've still got a few from back in the day, unfortunately I've grown a bit since I was 8 though :p

I hope all the Chelsea players are a quid this season, after their performance last time out.

Borussia Dortmund have also signed Andre Schürrle from Wolfsburg a few days ago.

That's going to be a deadly attack in the upcoming season. Aubameyang, Reus, Götze and Schürrle... Watch out.

France win the Euro U19 tournament by beating Italy 4-0 in the final. Excellent display, good future is ahead of Les Bleus.

Barcelona seem to be close to signing Kevin Gameiro from Sevilla and are also linked with Van Persie and Gomez. How did the club policy change so quickly...

There was a La Liga match in 2012-13 where all 11 players on the pitch were from La Masia. 10 Spaniards and a certain Argentine. Soon everyone in the starting 11 will be foreign.

How are your youngsters doing? The Barcelona prospects. I'm only really familiar with Sergi Samper. Has La Masia lost its way?

It has obviously been better before. Apart from Sergi Samper, there are also some other promising players like Oriol Busquets, Carles Alena and Seung-Woo. We also had Halilovic, "The Croatian Messi", but after being on loan in Gijon, he was sold to Hamburg a few days ago. There still are good players, but I fear they won't be getting much chances in the first team in the future which will obviously make them seek playing time elsewhere.

I have watched a bit of UEFA Youth League (junior version of the Champions League) and in the last two seasons we lost relatively early in the knockout stages, both times to Anderlecht.
Chelsea though won the last two editions, they are having a really good school recently.

Higuain to Juventus for 80m is mental. He's a decent striker don't get me wrong, but 80 million?!?!?! Jeeez.

    Pogba vs Milner

    :p

Yeah I remember Milan, good lad but didn't worked out for him here, a bit like Riera really.

    Oops, forgot to add.

Mourinho working his magic again I see ;)

    Dortmund fans must be fuming.

Must be some terrible weather in Manchester to cancel the City/United feud today.

I don't like comparing stats from different leagues, but it sure is crazy paying 120 million for any player. Maybe you should start mocking when the transfer happens, nothing is official yet. :D And don't you criticize The Dab! :p

Now that you mentioned Higuain, I thought of a comparison. Higuain 38 goals and 3 assists - cost 80 million, Ibra 50 goals and 13 assists - cost free.
Don't know if he is in charge of the numbers, but that wasn't nice from the club. Rumors obviously started that Martial wants to leave because of that, the media really are desperate for some stories.
It was supposed to be played in Beijing, not Manchester.

This was their response to the rumors back in April.

"Milan or Madrid - Just not Dortmund! P1ss off Götze!"

This is a good test to see if they are consistent or not. :D

Agreed. And lol, that dab thing is weird, especially as a celebration. Then again, Sturridges dance is weird too but at least it pisses the bitters off so I'll take it :p

Lol good one. Although I suspect Ibras wages are massive, Rooney esque probably.

Yeah United/Mourinho should have handled it better, but these martial stories are obviously bollocks.

haha brilliant banners. I know how they feel, should be interesting.

4 year contract and he cost around 22 million. They sold him for a bit less than 40 million three years ago so it's good business.
Those fans who threw the jersey away are probably now trying to recover it. :D

He has many more dancing celebrations. And I will pretty much always prefer them (including Sturridge) over the arrogant a$$h0le ones or the ones shushing the crowd. :)
The club has enough money for everything, but some of the wages are just too high IMO. Schweinsteiger is in their category as well and he has spent more in the hospital than on the pitch.

Oh well, I guess it's better that it ends up in players' pockets than in the ones of Glazers. :D
    Ouch. :D

He will always have the World Cup final goal card to play though.
