Yeah a really excellent match as well. ****ing sweet!

You got a season ticket or you just buy tickets to each match as it comes? Don't get to go to many myself, used to live in Liverpool until a year ago so I got to some games, haven't been for ages though, had a mate who had a season ticket though and sometimes his Dad was away and or wasn't able to go to games so I got to go along then.

Haven't got a season ticket, no (and it's not worth the wait imo) I've got the light membership though (20 quid or so/year iirc) which basically gives you access to the various ticket sales, depending on your previous history of course. There are 2 bulk sales for the members, one in July for all the home games until new years and one in November for the rest of the season. If you've got 14+ (although think this season with the new main stand it was 12) credits from the previous season you're pretty much guaranteed a ticket for every home game, besides the c category games ie hull, Burnley and Middlesbrough. you go online, pick your seats etc.,this sale is pretty simple coz a relatively low number of people (compared to the other sales) have got the required credits. Getting the c cat games is a ****ing nightmare though, they are sold to all members not taking into account previous attendance at all, had one one hour wait just for ****ing Hull last month. You've got the late availability sales as well, 2 weeks before each game I think, so if you fail to get a ticket in the bulk sales you can try that, has worked well for me in the past. They also introduced the local sales this year, so if you live in Liverpool or the surrounding areas it's a pretty good option, although the number of tickets available is quite low from what I've heard. So your best bet would probably be to get yourself a membership, the cheapish one (light membership it's called) and then try your luck in the bulk sales + late availability, even with 0 credits from last season I'm pretty sure youll get to at least 4-5 games especially if we (God forbid) have got nothing to play for at the end of the season, for example Chelsea last year went down to 0 credits (think it was on a weekday as well though). If you get to more then 5 this year you'll have a good chance for even the big games next season. Last option would be your towns supporters club, well depending where you live that is. They help you with spares, organise the aways dates etc at least the Merseyside one does.

    RIP Dalian Atkinson.

Remember him from the first season premier league mostly, when Villa made an attempt to be great and win the premier league, along with Norwich.

And I was hoping for Gary Lineker to have some speedos on or a thong, but at least he half went through with it. Better than ignoring it altogether. Those pants/shorts will sell. :p

Chelsea start with a 2-1 over West Ham. Looked like it was going to be 1-1 after West Ham finally got an effort on target. Diego Costa with late winner.

Both City and Chelsea with 2-1 home wins thanks to a late goal.

Only one win by more than one goal on matchday #1.

It will be odd having Friday night football in England, I don't remember it in the past.

Costa should have been off. New season, same old, Costa being Costa and Chelsea being Chelsea. As for Conte, haven't really watched him or his teams before but he does look like a bellend. Will fit right in there if that's the case. Pathetic celebrations.

    I am shocked.

Didn't watch the game, how were they celebrating?

Conte has a great domestic record with Juve but did nothing in Europe. But to be fair, that's not Chelsea's concern this season is it. :D

Conte was celebrating like they just won the most prestigious prize there is. An olympic gold medal.

Sign of the times. First game and vital to get first win. Who cares?

yeah he's a disgrace. He never gets sent off as well. Joke.

They were celebrating like they've just won the European Cup. Especially Conte. He went nuts. ****ing sickening. Hope we absolutely smash them.

''The ref made the right decision.''

Not like he was going to say anything else.

    Bilic magnanimous in defeat.

Should have been off, though. No doubt.

The moment I have been waiting for. Time to troll Gary. :D ''What is it like to lose 7-0?'' I know all about that. Back in primary five when our school teacher wouldn't let 3 or4 of our best players play because they were misbehaving. Not the right time to teach kids a lesson. We were murdered out there. lol

Chelsea look like they will do well to get 6th. Same team as last year pretty much, even when they play well they can't finish off teams. Every win is hard fought, so the passion from Conte is the only new dynamic we have.

Do the same as last year and the end result will be the same, so bring it on I say.

Yeah he is. Some things never change. Just one of those players like Fellaini that should be sent off in half the games they play but never do.

Don't have a problem with that myself. Big to get your first win and to get it on the first day. Plus it's a London derby don't forget. Imagine Klopp if we got a last minute winner against Everton? He's probably be celebrating pretty exuberantly and there's nothing wrong with that.

Man, looks like I will have to stop following him completely.

Back in 2012 I said all sorts of stuff and wished him bad luck and boom he stole the league in the last minute. I decided to calm down after that one. :D

    stole the league. lol

The most amusing thing I've heard so far today is Mario Balotelli being linked with a move to United.

At least they're being linked with someone!

I'd take ludicrous things that'll never happen right now :p so far all we've done is replaced Ramires with Kante. Nice move, but yeah.. You have to improve significantly each season to just maintain your position these days (which was mid table). We've not done that, so another tough season ahead by the looks of things.

Batshuayi. He's also said he wants to play Loftus-Cheek as a striker... Not sure why though.

I think that's why they've been looking at Lukaku.

Of all places, Henry visited our training ground on his birthday.

Of course, the rumors of him having a coaching role in this club had to start after this...

2nd leg of the Spanish Super Cup tonight. Chance to seal a record stretching 12th trophy for Barca.
From what I remember, he turned down Wenger's offer to continue his work as a Sky pundit. I doubt he would consider a rival then.

    You've got to see this.

Fans of the Romanian club Steaua Bucuresti planned a choreography at their home match against Manchester City in the CL playoffs. The expected choreography was a message of support to their team and a reminder of their European Cup win in 1986.

The media said that Steaua's president George Becali demanded the choreography at the Arena National to get ready in order to mark 30 years since the season when they conquered Europe.

However, a group of Dinamo Bucuresti, Steaua's big domestic rival, found that out. They went to FC Steaua, introduced themselves as professional organizers and offered their help to get the choreography ready.

What happened at the match was all Steaua fans displaying a choreography that said "Doar Dinamo Bucuresti" meaning "Only Dinamo Bucuresti".

Turns out the 0-5 demolition wasn't the worst part for them that night.

    LOL! :D

A brace from Arda Turan (one of the goals a very nice lob outside of the box) and Leo Messi's header give Barcelona a 3-0 win over Sevilla in the 2nd leg and a 5-0 aggregate victory in the Spanish Super Cup. It's a record 12th Super Cup win for the club, who now holds all three domestic titles. :)

Also, Luis Enrique has now won all 6 competitions in his time at the club.

p4p, I think Iniesta is the best I've seen. Not greatest of all time or anything. Just some of the things I've seen him do put him above the others.

Anyway, I'm hyped for tomorrow. Hopefully Pogba is starting.

    Messi will soon become unrecognizable.

Looks like Pogba will play, but not for full 90 minutes.

Also it looks like Ibra will still be in the club next season.

I like what I was hearing. I'm not going to play just because I'm Ibrahimovic, etc. Off to an encouraging start.

Wolves might beat us to Balotelli. :/

I care so much about the new Pogba celebration. Yes, because I know his previous celebration so well. o_O

Pogba is in for Herrera. One change from the weekend.

Ibra has always been class. :)

I liked seeing Pogba intercepting a lot of their attacks in the first half. Hopefully we'll get to see the offensive qualities from the prodigal son in the remainder of the match.

The guy in your avatar was slick tonight. I even thought Valencia played well.

The only thing I have a slight issue with is Rooney. Look, I love Rooney, he's been great for Utd, but I see him more of a bench player now. I still think he can make an impact, but I would rather Utd play Rashford with Ibra; They would compliment each other very well.

He was. Very good debut. I liked Shaw tonight as well. Great pace, something the club hasn't had a lot in recent times.

I agree, those would combine nicely. Hopefully Mkhitaryan starts as soon as possible too, he hasn't had many minutes so far. Very creative player.

If Utd kept Di Maria, I would say Utd would stomp to the league title. So annoyed LVG ruined him. Di Maria would have been the icing on the cake for this team.

I liked listening to Giggsy there. He is in love with Luke Shaw, and why not? That hair. Nah, he does look lean, etc.

    Mkhitaryan will start against Hull.

Maybe not domination, but always in control.

Definitely not scrappy and didn't need to get out of second gear.

It was a decent performance. Bailly was everywhere in the defense, and Pogba was literally everywhere on the pitch. Utd had a 15 minute spell in the 2nd half which actually looked like it was Ferguson's Utd team playing. Mourinho looks like he wants to give his players freedom, and take chances. Ibra, I pretty much run out of words to describe him. He hasn't even hit nearly his top form and he's scoring goals.

Doesn't look so delusional now. :p Yes, let us wait and see how we do in a big game.

Nice to see us be so comfortable in a game like this. Blind is always so cool, calm and collected. Fellaini looks like he will have a big role to play.

Not a chance De Gea will get player of the year this year.

Old fashioned centre forward goal for ibra.

    Yes, I'm happy.

I actually thought Blind and Fellaini were massively overrated last year. Blind looks like he's stepping up, last year he was reckless. Fellaini is nice to have in your squad, and looks like he's behaving himself on the pitch now.

I'm pleased for De Gea, he actually has a team in front of him.

Yeah I can't believe it didn't work out. The guy was probably among top 3 players in the best Real Madrid squad in recent memory. Looks like that "philosophy" LVG used didn't suit anybody.
