    She hit 20 vs Cibulkova at 2010 Wimmbledon(a 6-0, 7-5 win)

  2. Loads of girls have hit over 120mph in the past. I'd say over 130mph and you'd call that a 'mans' serve!

I will never understand Li Na. There is no other player on tour who ebbs and flows so quickly. She's through to the QFs after beating Lisicki for the first time. After that Wimbledon nightmare last year, I'm impressed she fought back after losing the first set. Sharapova's next, and if she can get her moving, I like Li's chances against the lead-footed amazon.

She served 20 aces (her record) three times:

    Vs Cibulkova
    Vs Dementiva (Wimby 09)
    Vs Stosur (Miami 12)

Lol people jumping up and down hugging at the sight of Azarenka losing.

Cibulkova has crazy amounts of crowd support. Insane.

And there we go. Cibulkova emphatically takes the first set 6-1. I believe the winner count is something like 11 to 2. Can Azarenka pull off a champion's comeback?

Here we go, Azarenka loses her cool. Slams the racquet to the floor and fires a return on a fault serve. Down a set and a break.
And now it's a double break. Cibulkova is returning Azarenka's serves faster than they're coming. Her winner to UE count is mindblowing.

Alas Cibulkova, love her personality and game. Pity she couldn't close it out. Just 4 points on her serve to go...

Venus up 5-2 in the 2nd set. Barring another choke, we're looking at a 3rd set.

    3rd set it is...

    Oh, Serena.. haha

    Q. You don't have to apologize for being wrong on an Hawk Eye call.
SERENA WILLIAMS: I always do kinda out of habit. I don't mean to. I don't get enough credit for being, you know, a super nice person and clapping on good points. They only focus on me yelling at umpires. I'm actually an unbelievable professional competitor out there.

Ana is too much of a mental midget in big matches. Venus up 5-2 in the 3rd.

    Yeah, Venus!!!

  41. Ivanovic loses to Venus? I didn't see that one coming. The only reason she nearly lost to Wozniak was because she couldn't hit through Venus, but you'd expect Ana to have demolished her.

Ana's beaten a few top players recently, so I'm just confused as to why she lost.. most likely psychological, I guess.

Did Venus look fatigued like the last few matches? I think we are over-playing her illness in all honesty. I know it's a bad thing but she had a lot of time off and has access to probably some of the best doctors in the USA, if not world.

^^Venus owns Ana. The H2H is 8-1 in Venus' favor. Honestly I'm more confused about how Ana beat Venus in AO 2008 QF than how Venus beat Ana tonight.

I think Azarenka is going down in this tourney. If not in the QF, then definitely in the SF to Venus.

I also really REALLY hope that Serena beats Woz tomorrow. Serena's playing REALLY well this tourney. It will be great to see her in the finals of Miami again.

Seriously, I don't think it's that hard to envision Ivanovic losing to Venus. Yes, Anna is playing much better than previously, but she's hardly "back" to the Anna of years ago. Her serve is still shaky, her backhand is still iffy, and she still can't move that well. I'm not trying to insult her, just setting out the weaknesses in her game which can be exploited. Her forehand is still great (when she's set for it) and she seems to have made huge progres mentally, but she's hardly invincible. Plus, Venus has always matched up well with Anna. As others have pointe out, Anna is now 1-8 vs. Venus.

  48. Of course it's easy to see Ana losing to Venus.. it's happened a lot, I don't mean it in that respect, I actually think Ana is playing very well and Venus is playing quite well but in her was 3 matches she's been really fatigued which is confusing as it mustn't be that bad if she's won 4 matches so far. I actually expected Venus to be knackered, and maybe even retire.
Ana's serve can be shaky, but it's been quite ok these past 2 weeks and she very lean, so her movement is better than it used to be, she's not slow by any means. Her backhand isn't that bad, she hits it deep, it's just overshadowed by her forehand which she moves around very very well. And obviously she's not invincible at all, I know that.
Ana played well in 2008 AO, Venus hasn't played so well down under for a long time and that was Ana's peak in 2008.
Also, her name is spelt Ana (one 'n') so please stop calling her 'Anna' it doesn't make you look like you're so clued up about tennis.

Anyone who also says Ana shouldn't have won the 2008 FO need to look back at her play in 2007 and 2008. She's been in 3 GS Finals, not just 1, so it's not like it was a fluke, and if she was still playing in that form like in 2008, consistently winning and going deep into GS's (also SF at Wimbledon in 2007) she'd be Top 2 right now, possibly #1, but that's a different matter, consistency.

I think Ana can win another GS, and she's got a number of years where most players are in their prime between 23 and about 27 or 28 and the likes of Clijsters, Venus, Serena should all be retired in the next year or so if the rumours are correct and then there will be few 'experienced' GS winners on tour (as in players with 3+ GS's) other than Sharapova, but she's not exactly consistent enough to dominate.

  49. Now I turn my attention to Li Na. I hope she beats Sharapova and faces Serena in the SF's. I'd like to see her push her ranking up before the FO as she had few points to defend here and at IW (2x2nd Round losses, bye's in R1 in 2011) so a 2xQF showings will add to her points and act as a buffer if she fails to defend her RG title. Also, she didn't do so well on the clay in 2011 until the FO, so she will hopefully play well and gain points there as well. Her movement was poor in the early clay tournaments in 2011, but at FO she moved like a mountain lion, so, so well, so maybe she could rack her the points and protect a fall out of the Top 10 if she doesn't defend RG.

Li made the SF of Madrid and Rome going in to the FO. That's a good clay season in my book, even if she got stomped by Kvitova in Madrid. Li has at least 2800 points to defend on clay, so she can't really move up the ranks at that point. Given the lack of decent clay court players, Li could very well repeat the results. Or go into clay playing like she did post-French Open. Hard to predict with Li.
