it gets less and less likely indeed, but with nadal then djokovic and so many others, it is no surprise.

Should get to QFs and Murray. That is all.

Yeah Ferrer's draw is really soft. I can't imagine him not making it to Murray unless Cilic has a sudden epiphany.

Nadal got mojo back vs Ferrer this year at Monte Carlo (after Ferrer beat Nadal in straight sets at last year's Monte Carlo).
    I'm fine with Nadal v Ferrer semi-final.
Ferrer has been legendary this year, winning 3 titles already, so I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the semi.

This is what it took Nadal to regain his mojo : A 33 year old Ferrer who had a nasty blister ( several times worse than what Nadal had at AO) , a bad cold and who had played a 2.5 hour marathon the previous day , and who still managed to take a set off Nadal in his horrible condition.

    Sad times

I don't see ferrer getting past murray, but we'll see.

Good chance Cilic will lose to Haase or L. Mayer.

I said he will make it to Murray, not pass him.
He will most definitely not make final. Absolutely no way he'll beat the winner of Djokodal. (Even if anything unexpected happened with Murray)

Well Djokovic might get sick again, and withdraw from the QF. Then, if Mugdal shows up, Ferru might have a chance.

Yeah he always has a chance against Murray on clay, but I don't see anyway he can beat Djokodal at RG.

I think those days are over with. This isn't circa 2006-2010. IIRC, the last time Djokovic got noticeably sick/fatigued in a match was that 2010 AO Quarterfinal against Tsonga. Didn't retire, but lost the match in 4 sets.

it would be very disappointing were ferrer to beat murray and then lose after to nadal/djokovic. may he win 2 in a row if that is the case then.:)

quite a time to bring something that happened last time in 2010. :)

Some people say Djokovic was sick last year too.

Murray dropped a set vs Chardy and isn't really looking unbeatable.

Ferrer may be in with a good chance.

As for the semi, I think Ferrer stands a better chance vs Nadal than Djokovic.
