    Hi all,

Can anyone explain to my how federer uses his wrist in those backhand dippers.

I myself use a 1hbh and use a firm wrist for stability. It works well cuase my consistency is fairly high but those dippers i can hit with the forehand i can't hit with my backhand. I don't seem to be able to brush up tot the ball fast enough. Certainly not enough to hit a short angled/topspin backhand. If do wanna hit a short angled shot i hit it with extremely low pace :(

    Help me out plz.

    Thnxz

If you have a good topspin backhand when hitting in your comfort zone You are half way there.

Get down low and hit through it, basically, the same. Since the net is higher, now, in relation to the ball-- you will have to hit more up and through to get it over. This will tend to generate the topspin required to keep it in court.

For really short angles, a bit more top may be necessary.
