    Greetings and salutations,

From the parlous place from whence I find myself imbedded, the light is failing, my air supply is running low, and to tell from the disturbing groaning sounds assailing my ears from Court 7 (a disgruntled Yonex weilder, I would venture), I cannot speak for long for fear of being targeted - so please excuse my brevity...

For ye of the Babolat family; for ye noble, proud, fine, mead-supping bearers of the Babolat wand, I say unto ye verilly, what with our enemies so ranged against us - from the cavemen of Yonex, to those unpleasant Prince folk, to the neanderthal Head ppl, and those dark-riding hordes of Wilson (to name but four of our foe) - the time has finally arrived for us all to unite as one; to form an alliance; to form a victorious alliance from where the revolution can truly manifest and the sacred kingdom of Bab can again burdgeon, prosper and otherwise be the very spring at the universe's epicentre.

To wit, I beseech ye one and all - my indestructible Pure Drivers... my troopers of purest Storm and Control... my AeroPro warriors... my PDR praetorian guard et al - let us thread together as one almighty force... let us bring forth a well of mutual tales, tips, adventures, conquests, art, support, succour, babolatchat and the like from which our powers are indeed co-joined into a single unstoppable power.

The years of 'Babolat bashing' must now be reversed. The barbaric legions of Tennisdom and the rest of the Empire Coallision must now be confronted - confronted and vanquished... Show thy faces and fight back!... I repeat! Fight back... thread together!... join the Babolat Alliance!...

Ye shall know me as Rosskins... Rosskins of Tewkesbury... Lord of The Racquets... I say unto you, one day we shall be free to play the Noble Game without censure and derision... we will be free to celebrate our heros, such as Sir Andrew of Roddick and Nadal The Beast...

So, until the war is won, and we can meet in person whereupon before a game we can drink our beloved Babolatte's... post one and all!... post and be merry! Good folk of Bab, share thine thoughts on all issues and matters. For verilly this bottle I see before me -

THIS IS WHERE THE MESSAGE AND SIGNAL CUTS OUT.

"from whence" is redundant. The word "whence" means "from where" or "from what place."

Please explain why Babolats are for children! I see it as quite the opposite. We Babolat users use our Babolats because we can generate enough spin to keep the ball in play. I have used Wilson all of my life until about three months ago. I now use the Pure Storm. I was raised on the 6.0 85, and used the whole tour family. I feel that with my full western grip it just wasn’t practical for me to use such a small head size. I tried to change my grip, but it just didn’t feel natural. So I demoed the Pure Storm and it is the greatest racquet ever.

Also if Babolats are so bad then why is every racquet manufacture trying to copy the Pure Drives. Even your great Wilson has made the nPro Open, it is a total copy of the Pure Drive. Also why was the Pure Drive named the racquet of the decade or what ever it was by Tennis magazine? Come on guys Babolats are great racquets and if you maybe tried one then you would understand.

I serve and volley every serve, first and second, and I use the Pure Storm.

Lol I find Babolat and Wilson equal, it just matters which one fit's the players needs. I personally don't like Babolat, mainly because they don't fit my game. They are very nice racquets and the PJ of the Pure Drive Roddick is great, very nice. Babolats in my opinion are probably one of the most powerful racquets out there, usually those hard hitters use babolat like Roddick and Gonzalez but, their nice racquets and I hear a lot of Babolat bashing too. Haha.

I'll help out even if I am a DUNLOP user?

Such infantile taunting ('Babolats are for children'... oh, the wit?), and the interesting discussion on old English language and its suitability to contemporary usage (er, right, thanks for that...?), whilst ultimately I believe intended to antagonize, in the end only reflects badly up on the poster(s) of those crass words.

    Be forewarned!

For us of the Babolat persuasion, words cannot harm us, deeds cannot hurt us, our sacred racquets leadeth us unto the kingdom of tennis Nirvana, from WHENCE we all belong...

Welcome unto the Babolat Alliance (your sacred sabres are being strung as I speak...)

Verily I am testing ye mighty Storm in place of ye olde Wilson H-tour...

To Babolat, or not to Babolat?: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous Wilsons,
Or to take arms against a sea of Yonex?,
    And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end with Head?
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation by Dunlop
    Devoutly to be wish'd that it be Babolat. To die, to sleep;
    To sleep: perchance to dream of Storm?: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death by Prince what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal base-line?

    Here endeth the session... :-|

May I humbly recommend to thy knights of shining Babolat dignity to practise thyne swiping of said racquets at this location?

22:32 pm... The Caves of Agoom, Upper Bab...

I am forsooth in wonder at the most bountiful postings herein notched up. Our desires to form this rightuous and just alliance appearest to have bred a most glorious early success. However, me thinks a note of caution needs be struck at this juncture, and struck with the unsurpassed vigour of a Pure Drive Plus cannoning in a first serve. To wit, please take heed...

Stout, upright, yeoman, Defenders Of The Sacred Sceptre, here doth evince the self-same and blasphemous proof that the battle remains unwagered. And here I do provide equal and earlier evidence, these base and vile spewchucks arising from out of the cakehole of the one known as Voltron.

    _________

Noble Babolatians, be aware; be ready; be wise... this one who previously stole my mead, who doth fixate so fulsomely upon 'sucking ass' (which, according to the ancient writings of Sir Frederic of Perry, is some kind of much-revered habit and tribal practise popular among the tribe of Yonex), he is from the dark side. And there shall be many more like him who will enter the fray (and at least one shall be known as Andy of Murray.)

But soon I must rest my weary noggin. It has been a day of rare, perblind excitements, and I confess to imbibing a flaggon of Babolatian Scrumpy on the way back to the caves (anyone familiar with the Double Backhanders Inn?) Yet before sleep doth commence, allow me to fast address some more posts...

OsteoUK, I doth most gladly accept your, er, acceptance... okeyiest-dokiest? And btw-eth, eternal gratitude for thine worthy offering.

PNoyr3d, "I'll help out even if I am a DUNLOP user?" Indeed we would be honoured to have your presence co-joined among our ranks - the alliance doth not descriminate (although ancient tradition dictates that sacred sabres and the like be dispatched only to Babolat weilders.)

Steve Huff, I know of the Fischer clan from far back and beyond the past and further... you are a goodly tribe and as such feel free to prosper and run as untamed as the wild horses of Agoom.

    Until the morrow...

Goodly Pure Drive carrying Sir - (and my! how I salute your weapon of choice!) - as a countryman of Sir Patrick of Rafter, the boy they call Hewitt, and I believe also the fair and delectable damsel known as Elle of the clan MacPherson, the Babolat Alliance clasps you most unreservedly unto its bosom.

Your sacred sabre shall be dispatched to you forthwith.

"Are you on a crusade or a jihad to convert the tennis playing world? Is it blasphemous to not use a Bab? Are you going to liberate us heathen and show us the true path to tennis nirvana?

If you do, there is a vacancy in the US presidency is 2008.
Be forewarned though, that the insurgency against the Babalot Empire is a tough nut to crack. I will continue to use my Wilson Prostaff 85 6.0 with 69lb Poly, head heavy with lead tape, tennis saber, along side my fellow Jeidi resistance warrior. Together we will reclaim the Republic.

Yes, search within yourself, and know it to be true, this grey haired man is indeed your real father. Take down those lifesize posters of Nadal and Roddick and put up some Victoria Secret calendars, unicorns, flowers, sunsets, and Pokemons. Eat your veggies. Your Mom worked hard to microwave them for you.''

Can some ppl please take a note out of dennis10is's book?

To an earlier thread ('Why the hate for Babloat'?) this was all actually the cause for joking around and being silly; any serious suggestion that we're seriously dissing Wilson users or whoever is just ludicrous... Look, if this isn't your sense of humour, fine, don't read it. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?!

How can you say that babolat only has one good racket when countless numbers of pro's, top juniors and coaches use the pure drive and most of their other rackets. The people who always seem to flame babolat use mids...maybee people should learn to hit topspin..

Sire Rosskins of Tewkesbury and noble Babolat warriors, I salute yer bravery, to go into battle wearing tights and wielding sissy sticks. Be warned, we the neanderthals are Head and shoulders above when it cometh to the art of fighting, we shall rip out yer guts to make strings!!!

To the one whom they call rocket,

Oh contraire! 'Tis your own bravery I salute, if, as I doth suspecteth, thine own personage be as an envoy of the tribe known as Head (my, such an unfortunate name...) Good fellow rocket, I like the cut of your jib, what with your sissy stick jocularity and bold notions on string properties. However, be assured that our tights are amour-plated, and instead of 'sissy sticks', like many a vanquished foe ahead of thine post, you too shall discover the savage potency of the Babolat racquet; to wit, expect nothing other than to be triple-bageled!... and by the itching butt-cheeks of The Iberian Warrior Nadal, to this I doth swear!!!

LOL! This thread gets 5 stars.

I too wish to join the Babalot Alliance. I recently switched from a wilson to a PD- Riddick and I am loving it!

In honor of the Alliance, we shall call this day St. Babalot's Day
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd,
And rouse him at the name of Babalot.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say 'To-morrow is Saint Babalot.'
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,
And say 'These wounds I had on the courts wielding a Pure Drive - Cortex.'
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
    But he'll remember, with advantages,
What feats he did that day. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words-
    Rosskins of Tewkesbury, NickB,
    and Osteo UK -
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red.

    Now thats funny!

But I must reply to your your comment and say, that some people don't hit frame shots, and if they do, then name someone that hasn't from time to time?..

I grew up with wooden and then graphite.. So for me, a 90 inch head is BIG!.. I am sorry that children of today have to use the baby chair car seats for racquet's called oversize!..

As for wether I like Babolat, then I have never used one, so cant comment.. I guess when people come in and hate on the Wilson thread, its ok, but when someone has a go back, they are considered horrible people!

So in conclusion... nickb, Bite me!;-)

Arise bold Storm Trooper, your puckish spirit doth commend you to the very Gods of Babalonia! The Wilsonians and Headaches and the heathen tribe of Yonex and Dunlopian mountain-dwellers and all the rest, bewarest!...

Storm Trooper Tursa, with a little luck, your sacred sabre is being buffed as I write.

Sweet JRstriker, there is little in all the known world and in the heavens itself as pleasing as a Wilsonian convert!
Welcome... welcome.... and thrice welcome to thee. We clasp you most intently to our ample Babolatian bosom.

Your sacred speer is being unsheathed as I write.

... and by the by (or btb?)... thy fine words of poetry and verse have left a stamp on me not dissimilar to that of Ivan Ljubicic a-bounding upon mine chest... Me doth fancy, my dear Lord Osteo hast a rival!?

Proffessional wenches of Babolat, we bid thee 'bon chance' in thy battles ahead! and especially against thine mortal foes, Mauresmo of Mordor; Henin The Elf; Sharagroaner The Strumpet; and of course, Williams The Well-proportioned... and by the by, it be my fervant wish that the Babolat top brass may be entreated to instruct some of the above to pay a visitation upon alliance members to help us with our strokes.

For now, I bid all noble alliance members adieu,

    Rosskins of Tewkesbury

"As for wether I like Babolat, then I have never used one, so cant comment.. I guess when people come in and hate on the Wilson thread, its ok, but when someone has a go back, they are considered horrible people!"

Ive never posted in a hate wilson thread, ive played with wilson for the last 2 years until i switched to babolat. If youve never played with a babolat why do you comment on them and post in a babolat thread?....

No no no, when someone comes in and calls everyone in the thread wankers is when we take offence. I could not care what racket you use and i am not brand loyal to any. I play a pure storm and joined in this thread for a bit of fun. Why you feel the need to be so openly hostile with the aforementioned statement and comments such as ******.. is beyond me.

Just don't bother replying and read a different thread

Indeed Sire, the 'sissy stick', affectionately known as 'Babolat', is one savagely potent... spatula, good for baking bagels. Nothing stirth ye plump rings of dough quite like it.

I doth confess, Sire, that ye butt-picking of thy Iberian Warrior Nadal is a mysterious code. We would dispatch three cows and sixteen sheep to thee, if thou could explain what it means on ye battlefield.
