Nadal will unleash hell on Federer in French Open final. Nadal will show no mercy and will be meaner to Fed than ever. He will destroy Fed in straight sets. All of you jerks will be crying in three weeks.

I agree. High bouncing clay courts at the French Open + a well rested Nadal = no mercy.

that would be epic.....I love both of them, but to see two different faces in the final would be grand. Djokovic and Canas would be nice.....

i just think this year, rg promises to be full of surprises. so many good clay-courters. and after the hamburg final, the board is saturated with all this fed-nadal bullsh*t . . . which one is gonna crush the other in the french final . . . whatever. i think it's very possible that one or both of them don't even get that far!

Why are you so sure that Nadal will reach the final - Maybe some Hewitt or some Davydyenko mimght pull the rug from under his feet in quarters or semis (or even earlier, depending on the draw).
Advice is - Do not make a clown of yourself by trolling. Refrain some energy for positive contributions to this forum

Possible but not likely. Especially since the clay at the French Open takes topspin much better than Hamburg.

Why are you so sure that Fed will reach the final. Maybe Canas or Volandri or some other relatively unkown player will pull the rug from under his feet. I really hope the whole ATP tour will stand up to this arrogant jerk from Switzerland. Fed has won the last three slams. If he wins another slams this year then I will vomit continuosly for 20 minutes. Good luck to Nadal and the rest of ATP tour in beating Fed at French Open.

I don't agree with the part about Federer being a jerk. He is a nice guy. I just can't root for him some reason. He is not interesting to watch. Puts me to sleep but he seems to be a nice guy along with Nadal being a nice guy.

I don't like both Federer's game and personality. Many Federer fans on this website can't stand Nadal's personality. It is all a matter of what type of personality and tennis style you prefer. I am just stating my opinion.

Hate to break it to you, but you obviously have not heard the news. Nadal is pulling out of the French with an injury. Apparently, he wasn't moving well yesterday because of a slight tear in the ligament in the arch of his right foot. Here is the link:

Must have posted the wrong link. Nothing in the msnbc article referring to any injury or pulling out of Roland Garros. Only thing he said somewhat related was, “I lost a little bit of power after the first set and maybe I was mentally a little bit tired.”

Good one. Had me going! Thought the world turned upside-down. What would a final be without those two slugging it out against each other?

Why so much hate my man? It sounds like tennis is making you a miserable human being. Maybe you should find another activity that doesn't make you ooze negativity. You, and these boards, would be better off.

anything you say; I am not wasting my time replying to a troll such as yourself. Funny thing is I am a huge Fed fan but have a lot of respect and like the game of Nadal. Yet I am the hypocrite, you are laughable at best.

Let's look at it objectively without any bias or hatred. Why would anybody want Federer to win another slam this year considering how much he has been winning over the last 4 years. It would make Federer's domination more credibable if he was to loose number one ranking and then reclaim it like Sampras did in 1995. But it looks like it will never happen because everybody else sucks so much this decade. Where is the Agassi of this decade. I am still not sure if it will be Nadal. The fact is that over the last four years Federer has been extremely spoiled by the lack of a truly worthy rival who is excellent on all surfaces.

but why hate on fed. it ain't HIS fault that he's the best and there haven't been a slew of guys to challenge him at the top. you can't hate a guy for being 'too' good. it was like that when martina was on top. or steffi. it's up to the rest of the field to bring it, now that the bar has been raised!

you're arguing that anyone else on tour (and you say they all "suck") should win the three biggest touneys of the year and not fed, even though he's the best?? that don't make no sense.

And what are you spluttering? Hewitt barely plays anymore. He'll probably retie before the second round because of butt injury or something. And Davydenko. He'll probably lose to Canas or Volandri.

Whilst I'm sure Federer always wants to maximise his credibability(!), the above argument is the most obscene, pointless argument of them all, and it comes up around here often enough. Let me distill what you've said:

To be considered a better player, Federer should lose more.

    Completely ridiculous.

Naw, it's all about Kuerten and Ferrero beating those two in the semis and showing them how to play REAL clay court ball

Get ready for at least 40 minutes of vomiting, because Fed is a huge favorite at Wimbly and the US Open.

im new hear to take it easy lol

we want federer to win another slam at the french open as it will solidify his status as the greatest and hes the only man since laver who has that opportunity. and if nadal had this opportunity i dont think you would say why do we wnat nadal to win another slam. so basically your being a hypocrite becasue you wouldnt mind nadal winning all the slams. just take the tasty bagel and move on

Nadal will take the RG title

NadalForever ... did you get out of the wrong side of bed or something?! :)

I have no doubt that Nadal will beat Federer at the French Open final this year if they meet.

What I don't understand is what Federer did to invoke your displeasure in such ways?! You're certainly providing excellent competition to the Fed loverboys in the "who can post more gibberish" stakes!

I dont even think the thread starter is so much a nadal fan. he just hates federer and nadal happens to be his rival. the other day he was praising djoker and wanting to change his name to djokerforever or sth coz he sees more hope in djoker taking over #1. my guess is he's a pete fan or a roddick fan :)

many from nadal's camp likes nadal because he beats federer. and they really give those true nadal fans a bad name.

Nadal is by far my favourite player of all time. I was not serious about that djokovic thread and will always prefer Nadal over Djokovic. However I still think that Djokovic will be the next number one player but I will always be a fan of Nadal no matter how much Nadal looses because Nadal is very entertaining to watch. Sampars is my close second favourite player of all time after Nadal.

I disagree, and I think many Fed fans support him because he is no. 1 but they will not be there to support him when his decline starts. Most of them will turn to be Djokovic fans or any other player in the top. I think there are more fake fans on the Federer side if you ask me. These fake fans act like trolls when Federer wins (look at the ridiculous threads in the last days) and leave him when he loses.

I can't speak for all fed fans but personally I like him coz of his tennis and his manner. he's a classy guy all around. but if we can all assume things like you just did, one can say you support nadal only because of your hispanic background and you are biased. (not that i have any actual knowledge of it , just like you don't know why other people support fed.)
