I have a friend who is in the 8th grade and just finished her second year of playing. In that time she's gone from a JV non player to 1st/2nd doubles.

Her strokes are getting polished and she hits good backhands and forehands.

What I notice is that she is not very quick with her vollies around the next especially against harder shots and her serves lack a bit of pop due to the fact that she spins them more then goes for flat bombs.

Her current racquet is the ti.s6 from head. She likes head and wants another head racquet if she is going to change.

She has grown a lot in these two years but still needs to work on her muscle

    My questions are:

    1) Should we perhaps go the lead route first?
    2) Any racquets you would recommend? I was thinking perhaps an instinct.

Ti.S6 - huge head size, too light and tons of Head Heaviness, monster's swing weight for a young girl, extremely stiff frame! It's time for a "normal" stick! Look at Youtek Radical S or Instinct S - one step beyond! :)

Get her a Babolat pure drive and she will love it.
