to improve my serve... i need to....

    hey peops anyways i need to improve my serve

    when i serve i hammer it and if it goes over the net its out or it just hits the net, what are the things you do before setting up for a serve?

    any advice is good

    it sounds like you are hitting flat, try adding top spin by hitting up on the ball.

    Yup. And don't rush your serve, take a lot of time and relax.

    i guess your thread was posted first, but his guys thread had "pretty" pictures so it got more attention. since there are not photos or vids of your serve, the best we can do is general advice. i posted quite a bit of general stuff in that thread so have a look...

    i know this guy, he's 65 years old and he serves lifting the rack in FRONT of him, like he's swatting a fly. its an unbelievable action. the balls is thrown low in front of him.
    somehow he gets very zippy fast flat serves that stay very low.
    no doubt he gets very few in, most crash the net or go sailing, cos he doesn't throw the ball up high.
    he has elbow problems too.

    i hope you do not serve like that.

    please try the fuzzyyellowballs.com site, they have instructional videos on serves. i have gone through it, and just started serving the trophy way in just 2 sessions. all the best.
