Nah I don't think it looks like a yonex either. Maybe back to his old head? His sister uses Babs so anyone's guess at this point.

I wonder if Yonex decided to break the contract after seeing and hearing all he did last year which was embarrassing to Yonex to have a player sponsored at gold price to be worth it of nothing.

Buttcap looks like a Head (white with black insert).

Head racquet - as pointed out by Midguytennis and uk_skippy.

I wish Yonex would drop Tomic. An overated, rude player.
He hasn't won anything and acts like a super tennis star.

    straight outside edges

it might be the same frame as Tsonga's.
sort of PST PSLt or new mold

after a second look: oval not straight(stringjob illusion)

Would like to see him return to Head, the Radical always seemed like a pretty good fit for him and I don't think the racket change helped him.

Humm I actually mentioned it an hour before hahhaha

If anything happened, it is Yonex that dropped him, no results because of his work ethic, nothing to do with the racquet, anybody can play very well with Yonex, I just switched to the 89 tour from Pro Staff 85 that I used for a long long time and I think Yonex is a way better racquet.

Anyway, Tomic has been mocked everywhere, even in Australia, his home country, I would not doubt if yonex decided to end the contract eralier because of last year's embarrassment. I think He is darn good player, but definitely not a slam champion.

    Sorry, didn't notice that.

    All fixed now. ;)

I'm not really familiar with this stuff but is Tomic considered by Australians as one of them?

What I mean is... his parents are from Yugoslavia, he was born in Germany and was 3 years old when they migrated to Australia (?).
Everybody loves a champion and this kid can play but his attitude not to mention his fathers' attitude makes me wonder how is he regarded in Australia?

On a side note, do I hear Tomic maturing? Talking about "learning his lesson."

And I mentioned it before that. But who cares, it's not about points here. Also the kids think Tomic is great, I did some work for Tennis Australia with their Super 10's program and 70% of the boys said Tomic was their favourite player.

All his breakthrough slam wins came with the head so whatever paint job he gets it's a good move imo.

It looks a lot like a Head Instict to me. It doesn't have the rounded shape that a radical has.

It's probably his old version of the Head radical that will be painted as a speed, perhaps.

If your talking about his old Yonex, then I agree.

His type of game doesn't require precision, so he can play with a broom if need be.

Yes, it's all about the money.

defending his R16 in AO will be a big factor for the rest of the season. Failing that, he's going to have to work big time to get deep runs later in the season.

If Yonex dumped him, it would probably be because his behavior embarrassed them. As Timbo said, he is still the top very young player. He's well-known and could move up to the upper echelon of the game. Extremely good for marketing if he doesn't embarrass the company.

Even though it was an exo, he showed some good firepower against Tommy during their singles match at the Hopman Cup. It was somewhat unusual to see Bernie hit so many winners.

I know it's fashionable to dump on Tomic the Tank, but I hope he does well this year. I think his game is super entertaining (especially the drop forehand) and the game needs good players his age to take over for Murray and Djoker in ~ 4 years.

Even with a blacked out racket head or yonex he can beat the world no.1 in the hopman cup. They should have exchanged rackets?
