Interesting... Could it be the same mold as IG Radical Pro?

Weird thought that he still has the Yonex bag.

^ He's under contract with Yonex still. That's why he isn't stenciling his frames and still has to carry his Yonex bag.

It is a Head Radical, VS as usual is quite right. Yonex are trying to make him another prototype but they keep coming out too stiff, hence he's using the blacked out Head in the Yonex bag.. It will be interesting to see him practice in the next few months to see what Yonex come back with to try and keep him.

right - it could be murray radical pj of pt630 drilled to 16x19 or blade 98 (or Hxx pj). my guess is the former.

Yes, Tomic's racquet is the same mold as the IG Radical Pro. Tomic uses the same frame as Berdych 260.2

Is there a difference between TgT and Tgk for this 260 mold?

I had some talk with a few people in the bus. The last problem in this whole thing is the racket, any company can make a racquet for him just how he wants, the issue is money, nothing else, lets not blame his poor results from clay season onwards to the racket, he actually played great at the AO last year, made the semis before the AO and then phased out, if there was going to be a problem would have been before, right when He switched when usually every one has issues with timing, shot length and so forth, to say anything about the racket is hipocrisy.

Just watching a recorded Tomic AO match now. I agree it looks like a Head frame, but it really looks smaller like a mid to me. Maybe it's an optical delusion since its blacked out.

The Australian newspaper reported it the other day as being a Head Youtek Radical MP 18x20 the other day. Having said that, I'd trust the Australian media as far as I could throw them. The commentators here don't even know what poly strings are.

Yonex manage to get Joachim Johansson move from Head (he was using a PT10), so money aside.... maybe Yonex can deliver and produce something flexy enough.

The location of his damping rubber band is within [inside] the string pattern ... which should be against the rule. May be someone should alert the AO officials to do something ... ^^

Does anyone know what string he is using at the moment, has that changed too since he changed frames or still using the same strings as with the yonex??

I had a Tomic prostock (well was told that anyway)

    It was a TGT260.3 18x20

May have been one of his test racquets from a while ago

IG paint, 98 inch, 27.5 long

Seemed to have quite a long pallet

Shouldnt have sold it, was the best serving racquet ive ever had

the gromments are white instead of black on the other pics that previous users used. i do see some lead tape on the three and six o clock of the frame. a blacked out prestige mp without the cap gromments

He must have a contractual obligation analogous to a no-compete clause to Yonex even though he no longer wants to play with one.

Yonex shouldn't waste its money on a future wash out like Tomic. The guy is an embarrassment and trainwreck waiting to happen.

My opinion, but Australia is close to Japan so they're always trying to keep that market. Hewitt's on his way out of course.

I think this is a new racquet indeed, don't recognize that black throat.
Are his Head racquets 18x20? I wonder if the new Yonex will be too. Last 18x20 Yonex racquet I can remember was the RDX500HD.

The head he used was 16x19.

New yonex frames? Would be nice if these had lower flex.

    My thoughts exactly.

I'm fed up with Yonex frames with flex in the upper 60s.
I'd be really interested in a sub 60 flex frame.

If yonex released a new 95 do you think there is any chance Stan would endorse it?

I am one of those people always hoping that Yonex brings out a 95 with just a little bit of the RD7 in it. The market for 95inch players' rackets isn't very congested at present. Could we please have a heavier, flexible, topspin racket for baseline and all court players?

I liked the results I got with the 95D but it didn't please me to use it.

Very true. I currently use a 90" but know that I won't be able to forever - 100's feel too unwieldy.

Yep, I am going through that stage right now. I tried a variety of rackets from 95-98, with a variety of string patterns. I tried the prestige MP, VCore 97, Blade 98 (18x20) and and PS 95.

Honestly, I thought they were all pretty awful, except for the PS 95 (at least the other 3 didn't fit my game at all). I thought the racket was excellent, except for the fact that the weight was so low I thought I was swinging a feather. I checked the stock weight as it came from TW, and it was I believe 328g strung (with a little lead I put in the handle to add at least some weight). My BLX 6.1 tour is 356g strung with overgrip+lead. So if they just brought up the stock weight of the PS 95, I think it would be the perfect racket.
