    Hi all,

Regardless of the very recent drama's and racquet changes, i thought id share my recent acquisition.

    Tomic's VCORE 98D

Not the best quality photos at this stage but will give you an idea

Any questions or measurements ill do my best to answer.

Also, if anyone knows how best to save the signature on the grip please let me know, im considering taking the grip off, playing with it for a bit and attempting to put it back on while lining the signature up, but dont know if thats the best idea!

Yeah depending on strings it'll be about 355g with dampener.

Its balance unstrung is 32.5cm / 6 pts HL

Havent taken the grip / buttcap off so see about silicon but im assuming there is a bit in there and possibly lead under the bumper

What's with the "A" in "A. Tomic"? Looks like he has a mother named Ady, perhaps a nod to her? Hmm.

Well, overgrip/remove the grip. I'd receive a racquet from a pro, I'd play with it too. Just wanna know what it feels like on the court. Must be awesome. Too awesome for just putting it on the wall.

Saw it listed on the local auction site for many, many weeks and honestly thought it would never sell. It was said to come with a "Certificate of Authenticity" too. OP must've satisfied himself it was worth buying.

For a 27.5" frame, 32.5cm is about 7.6 pts HL

Yeah, he's back to his radical pro stock.

And to Maxxply, it was listed for a long time but i got a good deal on it. The COA is a photo Tomic holding the frame after signing it.

Even if it was just for 2012, its still a cool piece for the stringing room.

Very cool to have a pro's frame. I've got one of Leonardo Mayer's broken Wilson 6.1s. Snapped nearly in two, so it's far from playable, but it's going on my wall.

Congrats Matt. A well worth buy.

Have you played with the frame? What did you end up stringing the racquet with?

Like the 'certification' as well, a pic.

Havent played with the frame as he plays with the stock layup of the 98D (although a lot heavier). So i will buy one soon and lead it up to the same weight and SW and see how it plays.

I strung it up with a basic white poly so the stencil was clear and it wasnt a waste to hang on the wall.

Shame about his injury, hope he does well with the grass court season

Didn't even know Yonex had leather grips. What is the grip size?
