There are 238.4s sold by reputable people on string forums that state that they are Haas frames. vsbabolat says that he plays with a PT630. I can only assume that he has played with the 238.4 or experimented with them at some time in the past.

BTW, the thing that I take away from that picture is not the racquet but his great physical conditioning at his age. The racquet is nice though.

I think it's funny how in sports we end up thinking people in their 30's would be in anything but great shape. It's pro sports. And guys like Haas and Federer can still play great tennis because they're great athletes. It's a false notion that they decline because of their age. It's usually a focus on family and personal life that causes any kind of decline. Also, the longer you play the more chance there is an injury, which is obviously another huge reason for decline. Anyway I know this thread is about something else but I just wanted to throw that out there.

Let me steer this back... I love Tommy Haas and I don't know anything about the Head racquet he appears to be using. haha

He was using 238.1. I dont no about 238.4. But he did switch to the PT57A at the start 2012 in Australia. First with 16x19 string pattern then back to 18x20 in PT57A at Key Biscayne 2012.

Has anyone tried VS/RPM blast hybrid? Even Tommy had to make the switch after all these years.

Gut mains + spinny co-poly is pretty popular for those who can afford it and among the pros too. Go to the "Strings" section and do a quick search.

Power pads would seem IMHO unnecessary on a PT630, perhaps he is playing chinese prostock 238.4?

No, He is not. It's a PT630. Look at how much further past the grommet channel extends past the grommet.
Only can be the Pro Tour 630

What is the differense between 238.1 and pt57A? Does the 238.1 also originate from a retail racket?
