Who are the top ATP and WTA pros that don't have racket contracts? Some, like Jalena Jankovic use a blacked out racket, but I would imagine others don't. So who out there is buying their sticks or just getting free ones without endorsement deals?

Not surprising after his AO outburst. I wouldn't want someone smashing the rackets with my logo on them...

I think Blake has a deal with Donnay now. But until recently, he did go quite a while without a deal.

I presume Odesnik have no deal with Babolat. He´s using the Genesis logo ( a very good looking logo btw! ) on his stringbed

I think its Errani that has an 18x20 Pure Drive so she probably has a contract.

Never understood why Ivo doesn't have a contract. With that serve? I would sign him :)

To be totally honest I'm surprised Babs/Prince never signed him. He'd be great for the tweener type racket promotion. "Buy a Bab and you can serve like ARod OR Ivo!"

Karlovic did have a deal to use Babolat racquets. He used the Aero ProDrive for a very brief time a couple of years ago and did not like them. He prefers his HEAD Flexpoint Instinct MP.

Ivo still under Babolat contract hence the spray-painted Flexpoint Instinct. He's also sponsored by Li Ning, Right Guard, and Dos Equis.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if the "average joe" could name any player outside of the Big Four on the men's side or a handful on the women's side. I find that most casual tennis fans that even more than casually follow tennis, are unfamiliar with pro's names. They might know what they look like, but ask them to try and name anyone outside of the top few on either tour and I would say that they cannot.

The average joe knows McEnroe and Federer.

They're only starting to hear about Nadal.

Nole has been on american night shows and 60 min. He is doing a good job of marketing himself in the US. Nadal cant really speak intelligent english so i think his popularity/marketability outside of tennis has been stunted.

The non-tennis fan knows Federer and Nadal on the men's side, and Maria and the Williams' sisters on the women's side.
They haven't a clue who Djokovic is. Nor will they.

You are absolutely correct. Non tennis folks have no idea who Djokovic is...
Nike & Gilette played a big part in getting Fed & Nadal in peoples minds.
