thanks for the link.
Brings back good memories.
Perez should have won but he made a mistake of asking Roshan about a line call. It caused him to have a melt down. Then Roshan exacerbated that by getting "injured" and taking a medical time out which caused the two to have a war of words. Roshan did a bunch of cheap stuff too like being ready at serve then stopping and wanting Perez to pick a ball up in a corner for him. He also would make a deal about not vocalizing calling a ball out immediately. A lot of hostility throughout.
It was unfortunate there wasn't an official for this match.
Didn't Roshan also ask Perez if he wanted to massage his leg for him?
Yeah, with $1500 on the line, there shoulda been a ref. The ref from the mens 50's gold ball doubles match should've set up shop. Timing would've been perfect.
I only saw the first set but from what i heard Roshan wasn't exactly a good sport.
I dont know Perez, but Roshan is definitely a punk. He seems to be really uptight and under alot of pressure, but still no excuse. Great serve and volley player though.
no offense to the SB people but how in the world can you not have officials for that level of a match? at least one.... If someone told me to go pick up a ball in the corner I would tell them to go f#ck themselves then do their sister or gf.
Yeah he very snarky about it too because Perez was upset he was feigning an injury.
Yeah, he's got a very powerful serve and comes flying into the court off of it. But he reminds me of those frat-bros who walk around with their chest puffed out looking to snap at the first person that crosses their path. Way too wound up. For an Aussie, the guy needs to grab a Fosters and chill out.
