topspin 3 (ps3 or xbox360)

I recently played this video game on PS3 and I must say apart from the great graphics, this games sucks. The controls are awful (seems quite difficult to his various shots) & it seems a bit slow. Anyone in here try out this game for xbox 360? does it have the same issue. In my opinion the best tennis game by far has been topspin 1 on xbox and topspin 2 on xbox360.!

its a very good game honestly , it really takes a long time to master it and it starts moving a bit faster when u start getting better stats ....pretty realistic IMO

I have it on 360. I like the controls a lot actually, except I'm pretty bad when trying to do a risk serve while approaching the net which means RB, RT and A/B/X all at the same time...that can be annoying...and drop shots are almost impossible to pull off from baseline.

I agree that court coverage is fairly crap...reaction time of some of the player is a joke.

You've probably only been playing it for.. an hour or so? It takes a while to get used to the new controls, but it's a good game. Hopefully in future tennis games all shots (groundstrokes, volleys, etc) will be executable by the analog stick. And I don't like the concept of charging up shots, but I'd rather the power/accuracy of the shot be calculated by positioning, timing, and other realistic factors. If you don't get what I mean, think about how in TS3 you're able to charge for your shot when you're not even close to the ball, just by holding down the button.

its the best tennis game eva. I own it on ps3. Im at a point where my player stats are at the max and im trying to beat all the legends and win the four majors at very difficult. I'm almost done except beating Nadal at very difficult is almost impossible lol.

but im looking forward for the EAsport tennis game wich should come out later this year. It should make great use of the anologs sticks like in the other ea sport games. I will be very nive to actually emulate the real movements with the analogs, topspin, backspin especially

It's a good game. Probably the most realistic tennis game. Although abit on the slow side, it's better than the ultra fast arcadey feel of Virtual Tennis series or Topspin 2 unrealistic cheese fest.

im gonna agree with the op. its terrible. for everyone calling realistic its not. its a risk shot fest and thats it. there is very little in terms of point construction. and before i get flamed ive played it quite abit and can do all the little shots. i just got smash court 3 and the graphics are not as good but gameplay is much better. i wish they could find a combination between the 2. i love smash courts gameplay and liked topspins looks.

I tried persevering with it on xbox 360 but ended up trading it in, i didnt find it fun. At all. Movement was horrible imo.
