I want to know which of these two is better?
better power and feel.
Tour bite 1.25 FTW, crisper, better spin and much better power
+1 on this...
^^^ +2 on this ...
to me, black code feels "mushy"....but i prefer a crisper feeling string...alu, cyber flash, scorpion, tour bite, etc...
better power and feel- black code
better spin and control- tour bite
I LOOOVVVVEEEE Tour Bite!!!!!
I hated Tour Bite and loved Black Code.
Tour Bite felt too soft and lacking in control to me. I felt it also lost tension relatively quickly in comparison to the kind of poly it competes against.
Black Code, on the other hand, was pretty much perfect for me. Good control, but not too low powered; really let me stoke the ball around as I wanted. Held tension much better too.
bc holds tens. better, is crisper, while tour bite is soft, loses tens. fast, has more power and spin.
Maybe you had a bad batch of TB, or I've happened to get 3 different really good samples, but the TB I've had has held tension extremely well.
I'm now at 12 stringjobs with TB, and the DT measurements have been second only to SPPP (and only slightly below) for tension maintenance.
BC is also very good, along with Genesis strings and the only Weiscannon string I've used (SS).
I string relatively low, usually around 50, so I can't comment on how these strings hold tension at higher/lower tensions.
EDIT: Also find it amusing how pretty much everyone that supports BC says it's crisp and TB is soft, and everyone that picks TB says it's crisp and BC is soft/mushy. At least you can get objective measurements of tension maintenance -).
Tour bite was awesome the first two hours of play. After that it was the worst string I've ever used.
I got a kick out of that too, I find tb to be crisp and BC to be mushy.
TB is size sensitive IMO. I love the 1.25mm but didn't care much for the 1.20mm
Plus I did not get much life at all from BC.
how about the black luxilon savage??
+1 on the Tour Bite...great string for sure. i wrote a review of the BC before and have to agree with the other people's assessment of the mushiness. If you like that type of feel which some people do, then its the string for you, but if you want something crisp with good power and spin, then the tour bite is better
I thought the DT readings were very good on this string as well and thought Black Code lost its magic after 4 - 6 hrs. of play…
It was the opposite for me only deference was I didn’t think BC was the worst string I had played just way to mushy…
tour bite (although black code is a solid poly as well)
black code in the long run
i agree with this....i find that TB plays well for a while...i've gotten a decent 8 to 10 hours out of some sets...
Black Code is like playing with a plastic water bottle.
I found that I like the tour bite on my head ig speed mp 16x19 far better than the black code 18.
tb has mor spinand power.
solinco tour bite all the way
Did you guys try the black savage??
I'd say tour bite plays better in the mid 50's like 53 or so. I didn't like it when it was around 57 or 55.
