Thinking of purchasing a Volkl Organix V1. The demo has Volkl Power Fiber and I like the overall feel ok but the lack of spin from the multi (compared to my normal Tour Bite 17/Gosen OG Super 16L set up) is very noticeable.

I'm planning to order Tour Bite Soft 17g and Volkl Synthetic Gut 17g to try in it.

Are there any other polys that offer excellent spin, are somewhat comfortable, and offer decent pop I should try?

I've looked at some of the T-W String Numbers (stiffness, energy, spin) but sometimes they don't match up with players opinions. Ie: many say Tour Bite is really stiff but it gets a 181 for stiffness while Black Widow gets a 217

Thanks for any and all advice.

Tourna Big Hitter Black 7. It is a good middle-of-the-road string between stiff Tour Bite and really soft Cyclone. The BHB7 has tons of spin, good pop, and I found it to be very comfortable.

Tour Bite Soft 17 is very soft and powerful. I prefer my polys with a little less pop and more spin. It is the most comfortable poly I've tried to date though.

Thanks for the reommendation. I gave this string a shot a while back and I think I liked it pretty good. At the time I was looking for a more crisp feel so I chose the Tour Bite. After hitting the V1 demo with a multi in it my string feel preference may be changing. I may have to look back into this string. Thanks.

TW's data (the 3 comparison numbers) says that TB Soft gives even more spin than regular TB...did you not find this to be the case? As mentioned above my string preference seems to be changing. Still want the enormous spin but want a softer (not mushy) feel. Thanks for the information.

How long does tour bite soft last? Does it stiffen or turn into a trampoline?

I just moved from regular TB 17 to TB Soft 16. The latter does not afford more spin or power than TB 17 (due, at least in part, to the increase in gauge); however it has more comfort, feel and durability. I liked TB 17 a lot, but so far am pleased with the 16 Soft.
