tournagrip 30 pack-why does it now come with a roll of tape

I have been using Tournagrip for more than 15 years. I recently bought the 30 pack of tournagrip. I was very surprised to learn that it no longer came with individual strips of tape to secure the grip but with a roll of gauze tape that you have to cut with a scissor.
It is obviously less convenient to change grips on the fly during a match.
Why did they make the change?
Is there anywhere where I can find the 30 pack with the individual strips of tape to secure the grip?

Not a religious tourna grip user but I agree. You won't even be able to pre-cut the strips yourself. Why the short cut???

Probably not. The only thing on the Unique website on grip tape is another roll of the red tape.

I really like the roll of tape. I just wrap it round and break it by hand.

I find it quicker than grappling with getting backing tape off.

$5 Paypal gets you 12 red Tournagrip tapes shipped if you are in the US. I don't use 'em

Email through profile if you want them. Or trade for something

It's been like that for a few years now. I never bought the 30 pack until about 2008, so not sure how long the roll has been coming with the 30 pack. It lasts a long time though, maybe contact Unique and see if they would sell/give you a few for emergencies.:)

    Here's an idea.

Get a knife, or a small, sharp saw.

Position the roll in a vice or similar, and cut through from the edge to the middle of the circle.

Admittedly the pieces will be short (and get progressively shorter!), but I reckon you'll more than solve the problem you have, even if on occasion you have to use two 'pieces'.

Personally, i've always found them much longer than I need anyways, and in fact, i don't use them at all since having the black rubber circles that come on most frames now.

+1...It makes replacement much quicker. Just grip it, use a finger as a spool, wrap it, and rip it...

I MUCH prefer the roll to the individual strips and the hassle of peeling them.

The red tape is so thin that you can just tear it from the roll once you've put it around the handle. No need for scissors.

I like the red tape. It lasts a while, and now i use it when I can't find any more tape strips.

I like the tape, it is very useful.
I never liked the strips of tape that came with the tournagrips previously. the feeling is better on the electrical tape roll.

Very Very Very good idea. Maybe Unique could imply this and make a collection of strips that are like this. (kind of like post it notes if that makes anysense)

Personally, I like the roll of tape. It lasts much longer than individual strips. The local college team buys multiple tourna grip roles and has many of these rolls of tape laying around. They come in handy for household, stringing, and other purposes. I think I am getting my moneys worth. I also have strips laying around from wilson 30packs so I was never really missing the tourna strips.
