Tournament w/$500+ prize money in socal.

    In case anyone is interested. Just found out about this tournament:

    Non-USTA, but has some sponsors.
    Here's the catch. Each match is best of FIVE sets.

    Prize money will probably be at least $500.

    I bet there are going to be a lot of matches where one of the
    players has to retire in the middle of the match for various reasons.

    we just had a tournament in az where they had payouts for NTRP divisions. you had to be computer rated to enter, but it was pretty cool.

    best of 5 sets!!!
    that tourney would take for ever
    and you wounldnt get you moneys worth if you retire in a mtch

    wow, haven't played 5 sets for about 20 years.

    Would be tough to get a court for that long let alone last 5 sets.

    That's cool to get a chance at some big prizes.



    I have been playing a few TennisTour matches. They are only 3 sets max. No payout unless you win a league.

    best of five sets just means you have to win three :p
