Tournaments on grass in the US?

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if you all know of any USTA or other tournaments in the US that are played on grass? I've never played on grass, and it's something I'm really wanting to try out. A quick google search hasn't yielded much success.

For what it's worth, I live in Western Kentucky.

Thanks.

USTA tournaments are listed on TennisLink.

There are some on grass...the ones I think of off of the top of my head are the national tournaments in RI and Philly.

How old are you and where do you live?

In Philadelphia, there are national championships for many of the age brackets in the months of August and September. These are pretty nice tournaments.

I have played in the 45 and 50 Men's for a couple of years.

There are is one big junior national or is it international? Anyways if your that level you can sign up for that.

If your not a junior then the 45's and 50's is a good choice.

But if your just looking for some experience on grass then your better off looking for some fancy club.. or growing your own :)

Also, if you make it to Miami, there is a public complex that has all of the court surfaces. It may be where the ATP/WTA tournament is held. A friend goes down there a few times a year and plays there. I think the cost is $10/hour for the grass courts if I remember correctly.
