    Hello everyone,

My name is Nick and I am a 19 year old living in Northern Illinois. I recently picked up the racquet again and wanted to play competitively. It seems that the majority of the tournaments are for juniors. Does anyone know of any tournaments in my area for someone my age? Also since I don't have a rating will that affect my options?

    Best Regards

How long have you played in total?

I have played since I was 10 or 11 years old. With that being said, I didn't pick up a racquet much during my high school days.

Join the USTA. There are not nearly as many adult tournaments as there are junior tournaments, but there should be enough to keep you busy every other weekend.

If you want to play competitively don't limit yourself to just adult tournaments. For juniors, tournaments are the big thing, but for adults leagues are the way to go because most adults have jobs, family, ect. Leagues don't take up your whole weekend like tourneys often do.

Join USTA leagues, flex leagues, or local leagues at your club or tennis centers.
