    Hi,

wondering if anyone knows if this would work :D

what i want to do is to put a heat shrink on my current racquet, and also put some weights in the handle.

is it alright to change the butt cap to a trap door one, then put the heat shrink on? this way i'd be able to test and change the weight in the handle?

thanks for the help
    cheers!

Theoretically, you'd be fine. The heat shrink expands the wood in non-pallet racquets, but there's also a few layers of graphite shaping the handle, so that space wouldn't change. You'd NEED a new butt cap, the only thing you might have trouble with is depending on the brand of racquet you're using, you still need that brand of buttcap. The grips are shaped differently enough that a different buttcap wouldn't fit properly.

In case a replacement butt cap is unavailable, another way to increase the size of the butt cap alone is to add a small portion of heat shrink to that area only.
