I recently bought a pair of Nike Ballistec 3.3 (blue). Really a nice looking shoe...

I'm having an hard time breaking in these shoes.

Can you share some tricks to help break in the shoe?

    Put shoe stretchers in them.

Tie them loosely, wear two pairs of socks and walk around in them for 3-4 days.

I like to bend them at the median of the shoe. Really helps loosen up the shoe and cuts the break in time to a third.

    That's the first step.

Second step is to drive a car over them.

It's when you sprint relentlessly from the net back to baseline after the coin toss like you stole something.

wear your normal socks with them, lace them up as normal, wear them for a few long walks between games.
I have found this is the best way to break in any new shoe.

I lace 'em up as normal and A. walk around the house with them on for a week and/or B. Use them when on the elliptical or when I work out. Does the trick nicely.

at the risk of sounding stupid, what is the elliptical?
I always found that walking round the house in new shoes doesn't really break them in as you aren't covering much distance, even if you stretch in them too.

as I said before, a long walk in them always works for me.
running around the courts is also good.
after all, you will be doing a lot of running during a match.

using a shoe stretcher I find just makes the shoe baggy.
in other words, they feel like they are too big, it is easy to over stretch them so be careful if you are going to do this.

just had my third tennis lesson with the new shoes.. it still hurts... jizzz

I already regreat buying them.... who wants shoes with a break in period these days?!?!

I have yet to find the perfect shoe....I think I'll buy the Nike City Court... if they are going to wear down in 3 months,,, might as well be a cheap shoe!

what is the point buying other shoes that will have the same, if not a longer break in period.
it will be the same with every shoe.

Hum.. no..there are a lot of shoes that do not have a break in period.

Nike shoes as well. The Breath Zoom's I have are excellent...no break in at all..at least for me
