I was looking at the old archived messages and found one discussion started by TripleB which tickled me. At the time, he was using the MP Tour 1 98 and complaining about the sheer weight of the racket and the excess power and thought he had lost confidence in Yonex. TripleB was then speculating about the newly released specs of the RDX500 and thought it would be to his liking (how prophetic that would be, and amazing considering the sheer number of demos)

Apparently, the MP Tour 1 98 weighed much more than the listed 12oz, and had a high swingweight, heavier than his POG Mid. I also had the same experience, my MP Tour 1 weighed a whopping 12.6oz and very high swingweight, but a great racket otherwise (!)

    ferrari_827,

You're making this up right? What's the link to that discussion?

That's been soooooooo many demos and discussion ago that I don't even remember saying it. I do remember hating the Tour MP-1 98 because it had too much weight and too much power. I think I used it for about a month and a half and sold it to a buddy of mine who still uses it.

I think that's why it took me so long to even think about trying the RDX-500 MP because I was afraid that it was exactly like the Tour MP-1 98 with a different paint job.

But seriously though...you're making it up!?!

No TripleB, I'm not making it up, you posted so many messages and talked about so many rackets you've forgotten what you've said. I just thought it was funny, that's all.
