He's a big boy, but you do realize there is a camera angle involved in that particular shot, right?

His biceps are not actually larger than his formidable noggin.

his arms arent that that big. they are close but it may just be the camera angle combined with the way he is moving them

After a match the muscles are pumped full of blood and are bigger.

    It's a wide angle lens, it's distorted.

To tell you the truth, though, out of all the players I've seen up and close (which would be almost everyone in the Top 50), he's one of the biggest and baddest. Very strong guy.

Yes, agreed. The camera Angel comes down from heaven when the camera is on you at a certain angle. This type of Angel makes your biceps larger and the rest of you leaner. Amen and thanks be to God.

It's not the angle, it's the focal length of the lens. It's clearly taken with a wide-angle lens, which distorts objects closer to the lens to look bigger than they normally would.

I've seen him up close and he is very well-built. Huge and broad shoulders, with pectorals to match. That's how he can slap forehands that hard without extension.

Also, he's got some good fast-twitch fibers. Probably good on the slow-twitch side, too.

I've seen him on a practice court from just a few feet away. He's an impressive brother. Used to be a bit of a butterball.

    Allez Jo! 2010!

Yeah, he's as large as Roddick or Rafa, but in a way, I'd compare him to the Flipper or Safin. Tsonga seems almost as tall as Flip or Safin, too, but he's not -- he's more like Roddick or Becker.

Flip and Safin are a little skinnier. Here's hoping Tsonga can top Flip's 2 slam finals and a Davis Cup. Or Safin's two Slam titles. Early days, but I think he's on his way.

 you say hes large as Roddick and Rafa?? but flipper and Safin is skinnier?? hmm something is wrong here.. first of all Rafa is not even close to being large, neither is Roddick..
Safin and flipper is by far the biggest and strongest of these guys, Tsonga looks like someone who spends a little too much time at mcdonalds, hes nowhere near as strong as ppl think..

Yes, Flip and Safin are big dudes in that they are tall with very broad shoulders and chests that are filled out. But both are fairly thin in the legs. I think Gael Monfils has a similar body type, only leaner and even stronger.

Roddick was a pretty big kid, but he's thinned down a little this past year or so.

Rafa, come on, he's on the beefy side for a tennis players.

Tsonga has trimmed down a lot, but yeah, he's still fairly large for a tennis player.

Monfils isnt big, hes really lanky with extremely low body fat, so he looks ripped. I would think his guns arent half the size of Tsonga's! :d
