I just want to express that I love the Tennis Channel coverage of the Monte Carlo tournament. In the old days, on American television, they showed the 10-minute warmup before the match began. They don't do so anymore.

TTC broadcast today showed the warmup and it was a good time to listen to the commentators express their opinions of the players and the upcoming match. It adds a lot to understand the upcoming match. Good job, Tennis Channel, or to whoever supplies the feed, and thank you for giving us the entire feed.

(Only saw part of this morning's broadcast, but I have it on the DVR. There will be a repeat this afternoon, for those who missed the live broadcast and have TTC.)

The entire couple of months of the Tennis Channel free preview were crap. They rarely showed a match. Mostly just showed reruns of Luke Jensen's adventures, and a crapload of commercials advertising the channel - why do you need to advertise the channel that we are already watching??

The free preview was during Indian Wells and Nasdaq, both covered solely by ESPN. But once the tournaments that ESPN does not cover start, the free preview ends. Screw the Tennis channel.

I think your 'free preview' depends on when you order it. Mine was over a year ago, and I saw plenty of matches. Enough that when the preview was over, I was on the phone ordering it. It was a grand total of....five bucks.

Yeah, I know! This high-quality coverage is so unAmerican! So inefficient! They could have given us that informative pre-match set up talk during points, using that ten minute warm-up for commercials and promoting other shows on their network.;)

This is TTC at its best, all day LIVE Master-Series matches with a great feed.
My wifey who don't play tennis watched nearly all of Nadal's claycourt matches last year, even if they lasted 5 hrs.

Agreed, fantastic coverage. So glad I dropped the $4.95 or $8.95 and ordered TTC for the run up to Roland Garros. Love the slo mo highlights they're playing at the end of each set in every match -- there was a great shot of Federer sitting in his chair enjoying the highlights on the big board above of the set he just played (what we were watching) after the first set against Ferrer today... btw, anybody know what the music is they're playing. Kind of ambient club stuff, can't get it out of my head now...

The coverage has been insane. 6 hours of live coverage every morning. 8-10 hour encore presentation later in the day. I can't keep up with all the coverage. I wonder if TTC will provide this kind of extensive coverage of Rome & Hamburg.

Great stuff! Almost too much coverage. I tape all of it and for sure watch the pre-match warmups of every match when the announcers talk about each player in turn. Then, if I don't really want to watch the match, I fast-forward to the end to watch the highlight reel. Stupid TTC cut off a couple the other day to go to commercial. I'm gonna have to drop them a note because that is one of the best parts of a match. Sort of like "poetry in motion". Very artistic and well done. The video editors must work like dogs near the end of the matches to put the clips together so fast.

Honestly, I can't, during play for a point. But, on the replay, when the camera angle is lower, it shows up pretty good. They use a high camera angle during play, and the ball is lost in the clay. Then again, I usually don't watch the ball all that often but rather the player's movement instead. Some of 'em sure have that split-step down pretty good. Others don't even bother.

I have been complaining about it to my friend for the entire week, the camera is too far and you cant see the ball. If somebody from TTC reading it please bring the camera a little closer it wont kill you.

I wish, but I don't think we can blame TTC for this one. They are just giving us a video feed from Europe, probably from England.

The only thing TTC has control over is which Saab commercial to run and those stupid eHarmony commercials. I'm starting to hate those. Did anybody else notice that the couples in those eHarmony commercials look alike, physically I mean. Every last pair of 'em. They could be brothers and sisters, for all we know. The real world isn't like that! It's almost too funny how closely they resemble each other. I almost watch the commercials now just to see if they ever put a couple on that don't look like each other.
