If you're talking about photos - open an account on photobucket or something similar, download the photo onto that website, and copy/paste the image link onto your post.

If it's any other attachment, I don't think it's allowed.

To post a poll, create a thread as you normally would. Then, enter the thread and click on 'Thread Tools' which is on the bar directly above the post. Select 'Add a Poll to This Thread' - it will walk you through it.

Still looking for info on how to request a screen name or username change, Id rather not open a new account.

I searched a few times and this thread came up and I read all 3 pages but must have missed something,

    Thanks

    and Happy Holidays! :)

User name changes requests are not generally honored unless there is a significant reason for doing so (for instance, if you registered a long time ago, when the board was much smaller, and used your full, real name, and now that the board is larger, you want to change it due to privacy reasons). Since your account is relatively young, chances are you're going to have to re-register.

Then it's probably the file size that's too big, not the image size.

Upload the picture to an imagehost, such as tinypic, and I'll resize it for you!

I just found my reply was deleted from a thread on Odds and Ends on the CanadianChic's Corner thread. I didn't say anything that didn't comply with policy or that violated policy, so I am completely shocked at the moderators response, or one of them. Fee had said she wondered if there were others posters on TW who had "come out" as Ricky Martin did, or who might come out. And I only replied some were, and that I had written an article about how some sports, including tennis, were very sensitive about male players especially, doing so. How does that get deleted? I didnt post any links or address anyone directly but only the theme presented. Are some people allowed to say certain things and others are not even permitted to reply to their words?

I have been around TW for 4 years. I have never been banned or even warned, because nothing I will ever do would go towards violating policy or rules. That was completely a shock for me. It seems very subjective indeed.

Someone said I had myself set up not to receive email. How do I rectify that, and how do I receive email from members? I'd read the FAQ's, but still don't understand the email process.

    Go here: http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/profile.php?do=editoptions

Section "Messaging & Notification" -> Check "Receive Email from Other Members" -> Scroll all the way down -> "Save Changes"

Once you've done that, other users can send you emails via a form here in the forum by clicking the appropriate button in your profile:

Check out my profile for comparison.

If it's not available via their profile, they didn't enable e-mails via their user options. Chances are if they didn't leave an e-mail in their FS/T post, they're a dummy ;)

(aka they didn't read the stickies)

Only if you have >50 posts. It's to encourage thoughtful posting for newbies. If you have a serious reason (besides embarrassment, etc), use the report post function (red triangle with exclamation point) to report and request a delete.

No, although some users may get custom tag lines if they're especially nice.

An "!" 'button' at bottom left? Does that appear only when actively posting? I ask because when I'm reading a thread and I see an obnoxious post (discounting mine), I do not see that 'exclaimation point' icon. Further, why is the adm's e-mail address (something like "discussions@tennis-warehouse") nowhere to be seen?

    To continue:

"Please help us by giving a brief reason why this post is a 'bad' one. An example of a good reason would be: 'offensive language' ...."

I'll give you another one: In the Odds & Ends Section, in the (nothing more than) agenda-driven "What are you doing for Dubya Day?" thread, aside from the fact that President's day was over a week ago, this thread REEKS of the snarky political strench that overtook and corrupted the Rants & Raves section. Please give a look at this thread and tell me where's the connection between a.: 'President's Day', b.: the thread title's "troll" factor and c.: the fact that one week later, that thread's TRUE INTENT has pretty much been revealed (and it had nothing to do with curiousity or taking an interest in other poster's prospective 'holiday' activitities). This is Rant&Raves back-sliding.

For some reason I'm not allowed to send/receive PM's and My threads on the MArketsale section won't post.

I know once I tried to sale a New Racquet, and after I realized my mistake and corrected it, but it seems as if I can't do anything at all anymore.

DP, Is this still occurring for you? Sorry I missed this, there should be that icon for you...

How did you correct the listing? Did you take it outside and scuff it on the ground or something? Generally the admins are pretty sharp, slipping one by isn't likely to happen.

A few posts down in this thread, the PM question is answered (there are no PMs at all on TW, they are disabled due to competitor spam. E-mails are active for those who choose to enable it via their User CP. As far as your FS/T, all posts are filtered, and require manual admin approval.

I am a new user. IMG is turned on but can't see my photos in preview when inserted. Do I need to reach 50 posted before I can post Photos?

Maybe the title of this thread should be redone. If it was AVATARS, Signatures, Editing (Read this FAQ before posting) it might be a little bit more obvious to the people who somehow miss it as they click on the new thread button directly above it. :)

Hi. I was looking to create a thread on James Blake. In our next magazine we are hoping to publish a Q+A with him. I thought it'd be a good idea to get some examples of questions by the members of this board that they are interested in asking, but I do not have the privileges to do so. Can a moderator make this thread for me? Thanks.

    Hi TW'

I recently saw ad in classified sale section, and contacted the person for the purchase. However since then the ad has disappeared from the classified. Is there any particular reason for this?

It's possible that the frames/items were sold, but the "SOLD" notification had not yet cleared the filter. The OP may have requested the thread be deleted because of the continued e-mails (since there was no SOLD notification).

just e-mail discussadmin, or report one of your posts and ask for it in the justification.

Edit: If it's just a privacy issue due to a screen name, etc, the admin can change your screen-name. If you just want a straight up deletion, then that's fine, too.

Quick question.. didn't find it in thread (but admittedly may have missed it)

Are we allowed to put in our signature if we have used frames that we're trying to sell in the classifieds? Just wondering if it's possible/allowed.
