I was just looking at the specs for these two racquets and something occured to me. From what I can see it looks like they share the exact same mold. The main difference I can see is that the Prestige is heavier and more headlight. The flex between them is almost the same, at least for the LM versions. So, if you added weight to the handle of a Radical mp wouldn't it essentially be like a Prestige mp? It seems like it would, but maybe I'm missing something.

you're missing a lot. They are very different molds. the radical has a thicker beam and the head shape is different, even if they are both 98 in. On paper, both racquets have similar flexibility but the radical plays a lot stiffer than the prestige.

I think what he meant to say is, even though the tennis-warehouse links say that the flex is almost the same, if you use the racquets that you will notice a big different in terms of stiffness. I cannot say if this is true or not, though.

well...i agree that they don't share the same mold. if you've seen a LM radical and prestige, you will notice that the radical has a round beam while the prestige has a flatter beam, although it's not completely flat like the prostaff 6.0 originals. Also, i thought they played differently as well. The prestige is a low powered frame, and has a really flexy feel, while the LM radicals have a stiffer more powerful feel. this may very well be a case in which the player has to try out both rackets and compare, although the specs are similar.

i did lead up my radicals to 12oz. and they do play like a slightly crisper, more powerful lm prestige midplus.

I figured that would be the case. I mean, I didn't think they would be exactly the same, but I would think they would feel somewhat similar. I find it amazing how the Radicals drop in price so much, but the Prestige stays at $200. Like it's made of gold or something.

The CAP grommets also make a difference in stability compared to the LM Rads, i don't think it's as easy as weighting, there would have to be quite a bit of modifications to try and match one, and you'd probably end up with something heavier than you set out to match..
