My tennis coach has me string then when I'm done he tells me to turn the tension down back to 20lbs. then turn off the machine (it's electric).

When I buy either the Alpha Axis Pro or Prince Neos 1000, should I turn down the tension real low after stringing?

I've always assumed its so some spring in the machine doesn't wear out but I don't really know. Does anyone else do this? Should you???

When I was stringing with a crank, I always zeroed the tension. Not sure if it really mattered, but it was a habit.
